Aqueous hard surface cleaner compositions useful for removing permanent ink are disclosed. The compositions comprise 75 to 99 wt.% of water; 0.1 to 5 wt.% of a monoterpene; 0.1 to 5 wt.% of a C10-C17 fatty acid derivative; and 0.1 to 5 wt.% of one or more surfactants. The fatty acid derivative is selected from ?,?-dialkyl amides, N,N- dialkyl esteramines, and ?,?-dialkyl amidoamines. Preferably, a base such as sodium carbonate or monoethanolamine is also included. The invention includes concentrates comprising the non-aqueous components recited above, as well as other applications for the cleaners and concentrates such as graffiti removers and permanent ink erasers. The combination of a monoterpene and certain fatty acid derivatives, especially fatty ?,?-dialkyl amides, unexpectedly enables even dilute aqueous compositions to rapidly decolorize black permanent marker from hard, non-porous surfaces.

The present invention relates to laundry detergent compositions which can optionally comprise bleach, said compositions comprising from about 0.01 % by weight, of a fabric enhancement system, said fabric enhancement system comprising one or more modified polyamine compounds, said modified polyamine compounds are selected from: i) (PA)w(T)x; ii) (PA)w(L)z; iii) [(PA)w(T)x]y[L]z; and iv) mixtures thereof; wherein PA is a grafted or non-grafted, modified or unmodified polyamine backbone unit, T is an amide-forming polycarboxylic acid crosslinking unit, and L is a non-amide forming crosslinking unit; provided that for compounds of type (i) and (iii) the indices w and x have values such that the ratio of w to x is from 0.8 : 1 to 1.5 : 1; for compounds of type (ii) the indices w and z have values such that said modified polyamine compound comprises from about 0.05 to 2 parts by weight of said L unit; for compounds of type (iii) the indices y and z have values such that said modified polyamine compound comprises from about 0.05 to 2 parts by weight of said L unit.

Comparative data demonstrate that the presence of n-butane in the composition enhances the rate of bathroom soap scum removal relative to aerosol compositions that do not contain n-butane in the propellant. The amount of surfactant present is sufficient so that the composition develops a stable foam upon being dispensed onto a soiled bathroom hard surface. The foam collapses after 10 to 60 seconds to deliver the cleaning components onto the surface.

The combination of a monoterpene and certain fatty acid derivatives, especially fatty ?,?-dialkyl amides, unexpectedly enables even dilute aqueous compositions to rapidly decolorize black permanent marker from hard, non-porous surfaces.

The present invention is directed to an ophthalmic solution for soft contact lenses for controlled release of polyethers into an eye's tear film. Polyether components of the subject solution are released from the soft contact lens material matrix over long time periods to produce longer lasting wetting performance, improved lubricity, improved end-of-the-day comfort and reduced feeling of dryness from wearing contact lenses. The present invention also includes the use of cationic polyelectrolytes for controlling the swelling of hydrogel contact lenses typically caused by the absorption of high concentrations of polyethers.
