A dynamic finishing device that is able to finish one side of a product independently of a second side of the product while the product is being woven is provided. The sides may be finished in a non-linear fashion by the dynamic finishing device. Additionally, one or more finishing devices can be dynamically positioned in an interior portion of the woven product as it is being woven. Once positioned, the finishing devices may create apertures, pockets, and/or tunnels in the woven product and finish the edges of these creations. Finishing in the interior portions of the woven product occurs in the direction of the warp and in the direction of the weft. 1. A textile machine receives a plurality of yarns from respective feeders, each provided with a control unit that calculates, for each garment produced, the amount of yarn consumed (YCmeas) and compares it with a reference consumption value (YCref). If the difference exceeds a preset limit value (% max) that indicates an anomaly, then an alarm is generated. Periodically, the control unit calculates an average consumption value (YCmed) on the basis of a preset number (Nmed) of already-finished garments, and compares it with the reference consumption value (YCref). If the difference exceeds a preset threshold value (% maxmed), then the reference consumption value (Yref) is set to the average consumption value (Ymed). 1. A method for controlling the consumption of yarn in a weaving process , wherein a textile machine receives a plurality of yarns from respective feeders each provided with a control unit , said control unit being adapted to calculate , for each garment produced , the amount of yarn consumed (YCmeas) , compare it with a reference consumption value (YCref) and , if the difference is greater than a preset limit value (% max) that indicates an anomaly , generate an alarm , wherein said control unit periodically carries out the following steps:calculating an average consumption value (YCmed) on the basis of a preset number (Nmed) of already-finished garments, andcomparing said average consumption value (YCmed) with said reference consumption value (YCref) and, if the difference is greater than a preset threshold value (% maxmed), setting said reference consumption value (YCref) to said average consumption value (YCmed).2. A novel method of weaving is described wherein warp and weft are supplied in the form of tapes, and not yarns. The method, which is preferably carried out in vertical format, essentially includes feeding positively flat tensionless warp for shedding and taking-up; selecting, feeding positively and inserting weft tapes of different widths and thickness by gripping in its fore end in flat condition; depositing inserted weft at fabric-fell in a flat condition without beating-up; and taking-up the woven material that comprises either same or different widths of flat wefts. The warps and wefts, preferably of partially stabilized type of fibrous tapes, can be overfed in a tensionless, positive and controlled manner when required to make the fibres of constituent fibrous tapes occur non-linearly in the form of wave/texture during weaving. Extra warps and wefts can be also fed in tandem whereby the warps and wefts become composed of two or more unconnected, mutually slipping, flat tapes in a stacked arrangement. These doubled warp and wefts function effectively as a unit warp and weft during weaving and in the fabric. The method also makes possible to produce other materials such as those with slant weft tapes in relation to warp, having a shape within the body of the fabric and warp and weft tapes of shaped edges. A variety of fibrous and non-fibrous materials are equally well processed.
