Textured fabrics have raised projections separated by depressed areas. The raised projections have heights of 0.3 to 8 mm above the level of the surrounding depressed areas. The raised projections have a pitch of 0.25 to 10 mm. The raised projections are locked into the fabric by the presence of a flexible, crosslinked polymer. The fabrics are water-resistant and breathable. The raised projections and the depressed areas create channels through which water can flow, maintaining the air permeability of the textured fabric during rainstorms. The textured fabric may be part of an outerwear rain jacket.

BIOFABRICATED MATERIAL CONTAINING COLLAGEN FIBRILS

Номер: US20190203000A1
Принадлежит: MODERN MEADOW, INC.

A biofabricated material containing a network of crosslinked collagen fibrils is disclosed. This material is composed of collagen which is also a major component of natural leather and is produced by a process of fibrillation of collagen molecules into fibrils, crosslinking the fibrils and lubricating the crosslinked fibrils. Unlike natural leathers, this biofabricated material exhibits non-anisotropic (not directionally dependent) physical properties, for example, a sheet of biofabricated material can have substantially the same elasticity or tensile strength when stretched or stressed in different directions. Unlike natural leather, it has a uniform texture that facilitates uniform uptake of dyes and coatings. Aesthetically, it produces a uniform and consistent grain for ease of manufacturability. It can have substantially identical grain, texture and other aesthetic properties on both sides distinct from natural leather where the grain increases from one side (e.g., distal surface) to the other (proximal inner layers). 1. A biofabricated material(i) comprising a network of non-human collagen fibrils, wherein less than 10% by weight of the collagen fibrils in the material are in the form of collagen fibers having a diameter of 5 μm or more, are in the form of fibrils aligned for 100 μm or more of their lengths, or both;wherein said material contains no more than 40% by weight water;wherein said material contains at least 1% of a lubricant; or(ii) comprising a network of recombinant non-human collagen fibrils, wherein the collagen contains substantially no 3-hydroxyproline;wherein said material contains no more than 25% by weight water;wherein said material contains at least 1% of a lubricant.215-. A stain-barrier is described along with methods of its application to a fabric. The stain barrier can be applied to fabric samples and limits the amount of fabric with which deposited liquid is able to interact. This stain barrier reduces unwanted variability between samples of different dilution or fabric type so that limits of stain detection can be assigned more accurately and precisely and stain detection techniques can be transparently compared.

Materials protecting against burns

Номер: RU2454907C2

FIELD: personal use articles. ^ SUBSTANCE: in order to reduce burn injuries related to fire, protective clothes are required for specialist working in hazardous environments, where short-term exposure to fire is possible, for instance, for search and rescue works, and police. Protective outfit of employees exposed to such conditions shall provide for improved protection making it possible for its user to quickly and safety find a way out of a hazardous situation rather than fighting it. The method to reduce time of residual burning of a flammable fusible material to less than 20 seconds includes the following a) production of an outer textile material containing a fusible material and having an inner surface and an outer surface, b) production of a thermosetting material containing a mixture of polymer resin-expandable graphite, in which the expandable graphite is characterised with expansion equal to at least 900 mcm while heated to 280C, c) application of the mixture of polymer resin and expandable graphite onto the inner surface of the outer textile material to form a thermosetting material, in which the outer surface of the outer textile material is exposed to flame action. A textile component contains an outer textile material containing a flammable fusible material, a heat-resistant convection barrier adhered to the flammable fusible material, and a thermosetting material containing a mixture of polymer resin and expandable graphite between the flammable fusible material and the heat-resistant convection barrier applied in a broken manner in the form of dots onto the heat-resistant convection barrier with surface coating by at least 80%, in which increased thickness of the textile composite makes at least 1 mm after a test for thickness variation. When optimal operation parameters are achieved for a user in environments characterised by impact of spontaneous immediate ignition, light, breathing, waterproof or water-resistant clothes are required that ...
