Padding and printing processes are followed by steaming at 100‹ to 135‹C for 10 to 40 mins a non-ionic protective colloid also being added to the pad liquors or print paste. An anionic protective colloid is used in exhaustion dyeing processes at 120‹ to 135‹C for 40 to 70 mins oxidation being subsequently effected. Unvatted dyes may also be applied when reoxidation is not required.

CONSTITUTION: This compsn. consists of the phosphoric triester of formula I (where R=3 to 6C, R0 =2 to 3C alkylene, K=0 or 1) or its mixture, the 6-16C isoalkanol or its mixture and the surface active agent of formula II (where R1 =8-15C alkyl, alkylene = ethylene and if desired propylene, m=2 to 15). The compsn. which contains these components and does not contain silicon dilutable with water is prepd. The component is made into a defoaming agent and deaerating agent by simply mixing the respective components. This prepn. is excellent in storage stability.

Process for dyeing cellulosic textile materials of the disclosure Cellulosic textile material is dyed with substantive dyes or preferably with reactive dyes. Dyeing is carried out by applying to the cellulosic material, by a non-pad method, an aqueous dye liquor which contains, in addition to the dye, a graft polymer which is obtained from an adduct of an alkylene oxide, preferably propylene oxide, with an at least trihydric aliphatic alcohol, e.g. glycerol, and acrylamide or methacrylamide. The cellulosic material is then subjected to a heat treatment, e.g. by steaming or with microwaves, or is preferably stored cold, to fix the dyes. This dyeing process affords dyeings with excellent penetration of the fabric and with level depth of shade from edge to edge.

These novel graft polymers are suitable as dyeing assistants, particularly as padding assistants or liquor binders when dyeing cellulose fibre materials.

Wool printing/dyeing compositions consists of aqueous dye preparations containing (I) alkali or alkaline earth aryl sulphonates, (II) addn. compds. of alkylene oxide and aliphatic alcohols, and (III) optionally partly hydrolysed alkyl phosphates. The compositions enable wool fibres to be printed/dyed by relatively simple continuous operations, to give effectively dyed/printed products. This arises as a consequence of the reduced tendency of the dye composition to migrate towards the interior of the wool fibres during fixing by steaming or other operations.

Compsn. contains a dyestuff, normal additives, an alkyl polyglycol ether (I) as emulsifier and also a dialkylbenzene (II) having opt. branched 8-25 (pref. 10-15) C alkyl substits. The compsn. is used for dyeing and printing (semi)synthetic fibres, such as polyesters, polyamides, polyacrylonitrile and triacetate. It gives level dyeing with brilliant, deep results and no frosting effect in the case of polyamides. No enzyme after-wash is needed with polyacrylonitrile, since the thickener does not harden during dyeing and steam treatment. The (I) : (II) ratio is 1 : 9-1 (1 : 6-3) and the (I)/(II) mixt. is used in amt. corresp. to 5-50 (15-30) g/kg dye liquor or printing compsn.

The preferred mixture is the adduct of 1 mol of a mixture of C 7-9 monohydric oxo alcohols with 7.5 mols of ethylene oxide together with the sulphation product of 1 mol of a mixture of C 13-15 monohydric oxo alcohols with 3 mols of ethylene oxide. The preferred textile materials are pile fabrics, particularly carpets. The process avoids or minimises the occurrence of "frostiness" in the dyed or printed material.

The alkoxylate mixtures contain alkoxylates of general formula (I): C5H11CH(C3H7)CH2O(A)n(B)mH, wherein: A represents ethyleneoxy; B represents C3-10-alkyleneoxy or mixtures thereof, whereby groups (A) and (B) can exist in a statistically distributed or alternating form or in the form of two or more blocks arranged in any order; n represents a number ranging from 0 to 30; m represents a number ranging from 0 to 20, and; n + m is equal to at least 1. The mixture contains 70 to 99 wt. % of alkoxylates A1 in which C5H11 represents n-C5H11, and contains 1 to 30 wt. % of alkoxylates A2 in which C5H11 represents C2H5CH(CH3)CH2 and/or CH3CH(CH3)CH2CH2.

The preparation method comprises: adding the mixed aqueous solution of the carboxylic acid and the salt thereof into deionized water, and uniformly stirring; then, adding the penetrating agent, and uniformly stirring; and finally, adding the inorganic salt, and uniformly stirring; additionally adding deionized water until the solid content is 30-40%, and standing for 24 hours. By means of the buffering agent, the pH value of a cloth cover can be neutralized and adjusted in the textile dyeing and finishing process, the pH value of finished product fabric in the storage process is maintained, the colored light of processed fabric does not change, and the cloth cover is also free of peculiar smell.

A thermal inkjet dye sublimation ink consists of a disperse dye colorant dispersion, primary and secondary solvents, a chelating agent, oleth-3-phosphate, additive(s), and water. The amount of the primary solvent (glycerol, ethoxylated glycerol, 2-methyl-1,3-propanediol, dipropylene glycol, or combinations thereof) ranges from about 10 wt% to about 22 wt%, and the amount of the secondary solvent ranges from 0 wt% to about 7 wt%. The chelating agent amount ranges from 0 wt% actives to less than 0.1 wt% actives, and the oleth-3- phosphate amount ranges from about 0.1 wt% to about 0.75 wt%. The additive is selected from the group consisting of a buffer, a biocide, another surfactant, and combinations thereof.
