The blend is made up of an impregnating solvent, which attacks the polycarbonate and allows impregnation of the dye or pigment, and a moderating solvent which reduces the aggressiveness of the impregnating solvent. A graded tint is provided by slowly withdrawing the immersed polycarbonate material from the mixture. Polycarbonate materials having a graded tint, especially sheets in the form of lenses and goggles, are also provided.

The cooling stage may, for example, be carried out using a heat exchanger. Heretofore only the yarns themselves, from which the fabric is made, and not the fabric itself have been dyed successfully.

Fabrics Containing a Blend of Polyarylene Sulfide and Textile Fibers

A fabric that contains a blend of textile and polyarylene sulfide fibers is provided. At least a portion of the textile fibers, polyarylene sulfide fibers, or a combination thereof are coated with an emulsion copolymer that is crosslinked. The copolymer composition is cured after it is applied to the fibers to initiate the formation of crosslink bonds between the emulsion copolymer and create a three-dimensional network that is capable of coating and encapsulating the fibers. It is believed that this three-dimensional network is able to physically entrap disperse additives when applied to the fibers. Still further, the present inventors have discovered that the emulsion copolymer can uniformly coat the fibers and thus readily receive the additive, which eliminates the need for high temperatures and/or pressures during a dyeing process, for example, and can also result in a relatively uniform coating of the additive on the fibers. 1. A fabric that comprises textile fibers and polyarylene sulfide fibers formed from at least one polyarylene sulfide , wherein an emulsion copolymer is disposed on the textile fibers , polyarylene sulfide fibers , or a combination thereof , the emulsion copolymer containing two or more ethylenically unsaturated monomeric units , wherein the emulsion copolymer is cured so as to form a three-dimensional crosslinked network that coats the fibers.2. 본 발명에 따른 물세탁이 가능한 폴리에스테르 혼용 실크 직물은 분자량이 500∼1,000인 폴리에틸렌 글리콜 5∼10 wt %를 공중합시킨 50 중량 % 미만의 개질된 폴리에스테르 필라멘트 원사와 50 중량 % 이상의 실크 원사를 사용하여 제직되는 것을 그 특징으로 한다. 상기 개질된 폴리에스테르 필라멘트 원사는 100℃ 이하의 온도 및 상압에서 분산염료로 최대 염착량을 가지고, 초기 인장탄성율이 700∼1,100 kg/mm 2 인 것을 특징으로 한다. 상기 폴리에스테르 필라멘트 원사와 실크 원사는 교직 또는 교편하여 각각 교직물과 교편물로 제직된다. 본 발명의 폴리에스테르 혼용 실크 직물은 상온 상압에서 염색이 가능한 폴리에스테르 원사를 실크원사와 함께 사용함으로써 물세탁 후에도 실크 섬유의 특성을 유지할 수 있다.
