Pulp is effectively and simply fed into a pulp tower using at least one feed pipe having a number of openings that are spaced different distances from the bottom of the pulp tower. The opening through which the pulp being fed into the tower flows automatically changes depending on the level of the existing pulp in the tower. The feed pipe may have a wide variety of different configurations with openings formed or shaped in different manners, and baffles or similar guides can be used to uniformly spread the pulp being fed through the feed pipe onto the top surface of the existing pulp without mixing. This configuration allows the amount of pulp pumping energy to be minimized while still effectively feeding pulp into a tower.

The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a fibrous web, such as web of paper, board, tissue or the like. The method comprises forming an aqueous fibre suspension comprising cellulosic fibres from one or more raw material flows, and applying at least one chemical and/or physical control measure to the aqueous fibre suspension or at least one of its raw material flows for control of microbial activity in the aqueous fibre suspension or the raw material flow before an inlet of an intermediate residence entity, such as storage tower or broke tower, which has a delay time of at least one hour, preferably at least two hours. In this manner a starting ORP value for the aqueous fibre suspension is obtained. The aqueous fibre suspension in the intermediate residence entity at least the minimum delay time, and a final ORP value is measured for the aqueous fibre suspension after an outlet of the said intermediate residence entity but before the formation of the fibrous web. An ORP difference value between the starting ORP and final ORP values is calculated, and if the ORP difference value exceeds a pre-determined threshold value, then adjusting the applied chemical and/or physical control measure(s) until the ORP difference value falls below the pre-determined threshold value. Finally, the aqueous fibre suspension is formed into a fibrous web and dried.

An apparatus for mixing of paper stock, having improved outlet consistency, includes a vessel for containing liquid and paper pulp, at least one counterflow impeller, and a feedback system for controlling outlet consistency.

The drive motor together with its transmission also can be arranged in or at a central axis of the orbiting or revolving path of movement of the vane shaft, and the drive shaft can connect the drive motor equipped with the transmission with the vane shaft in the manner of a Cardan shaft. The vane shaft also can be directly suspended at the vertical output shaft of the transmission or gearing arrangement by means of a pivotable coupling. At the lower end of the vane shaft there is secured a buoyant or float body member serving for the lateral deflection of the vane shaft. Above the level of the liquid confined within the container the latter is provided with a substantially ring-shaped guide arrangement which limits the deflection of the vane shaft towards the outside.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Betriebsverfahren für eine Stoffaufbereitung einer Papier-, Tissue- oder Kartonmaschine zur Herstellung einer Faserstoffbahn, umfassend zumindest eine Bütte zur Aufbereitung und Bevorratung einer Faserstoffsuspension und eine Mess-/Steuer-/Regelungs-Vorrichtung, wobei mittels der Mess-/Steuer-/Regelungs-Vorrichtung zumindest ein Eigenschafts-Parameter der Faserstoffsuspension ermittelt wird, und mittels der Mess-/Steuer-/Regelungs-Vorrichtung zumindest ein Aufbereitungs-Parameter der Faserstoffsuspension derart angepasst wird, dass zumindest ein Qualitäts-Parameter der Faserstoffsuspension in zumindest einer Bütte innerhalb eines vorbestimmten Intervalls verbleibt, wenn ein Schwellwert zumindest eines Eigenschafts-Parameters erreicht, unterschritten oder überschritten wird.

The present invention relates a process and a system for the point-of-use dilution of microfibrillated cellulose (MFC) from a higher solids content to a lower solids content, for example from a solids content in the range of 5% weight by weight (“w/w”)-50% w/w, preferably 5% w/w-30% w/w, further preferably 5% w/w-15% w/w, down to a solids content of below 7% w/w, preferably below 5% w/w, preferably to a solids content of 0.01% w/w-5% w/w, further preferably to a solids content of 0.1% w/w-3% w/w. The process at least comprises the following steps: (i) providing microfibrillated cellulose in a solvent, wherein the solids content is in the range of 5% weight by weight (“w/w”)-50% w/w, preferably 5% w/w-30% w/w, further preferably 5 w/w-15% w/w; (ii) subjecting said microfibrillated cellulose from step (i) to a dilution step in a rotor-stator mixer; (iii) simultaneously to step (ii): injecting solvent into the rotor-stator mixer, or into a volume segment upstream of the rotor-stator mixer, in order to lower the solids content of the microfibrillated cellulose in the rotor-stator mixer.

The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a fibrous web, such as web of paper, board, tissue or the like. The method comprises forming an aqueous fibre suspension comprising cellulosic fibres from one or more raw material flows, and applying at least one chemical and/or physical control measure to the aqueous fibre suspension or at least one of its raw material flows for control of microbial activity in the aqueous fibre suspension or the raw material flow before an inlet of an intermediate residence entity, such as storage tower or broke tower, which has a delay time of at least one hour, preferably at least two hours. In this manner a starting ORP value for the aqueous fibre suspension is obtained. The aqueous fibre suspension is maintained in the intermediate residence entity at least the minimum delay time, and a final ORP value is measured for the aqueous fibre suspension after an outlet of the said intermediate residence entity but before the formation of the fibrous web. An ORP difference value between the starting ORP and final ORP values is calculated, and if the ORP difference value exceeds a pre-determined threshold value, then adjusting the applied chemical and/or physical control measure(s) prior to the intermediate residence entity until the ORP difference value falls below the pre-determined threshold value, wherein the threshold value for ORP difference is less than 100 mV. Finally, the aqueous fibre suspension is formed into a fibrous web and dried.
