A method and system for strengthening and hardening unpaved surfaces is presented wherein a triglyceride composition is applied to an unpaved area. The composition is comprised of a homogenized mixture of one or more triglycerides, water, one or more surfactants, and, optionally, a catalyst. The triglycerides used in the composition are generally commercially-available oils and greases, such as naturally-derived oils that contain mono- and poly-unsaturated fatty acid triglycerides, such as those found in used cooking oil. The surfactant acts as a stabilizing agent and also aids in the saturation of the unpaved surface during application. The catalyst facilitates the drying and hardening process. The unpaved surface is compacted with a heavy roller and/or a vibratory compactor and then coated with an application of the triglyceride composition. In alternate embodiments, the triglyceride mixture is applied before the unpaved surface is compacted. 1. A method for hardening unpaved surfaces , comprising:mixing one or more triglycerides with water and one or more surfactants to form an emulsion;preparing the unpaved surface for application of the emulsion;applying the emulsion to the unpaved surface; andallowing the emulsion to cure, thereby forming a hardened surface.2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the unpaved surface is a road base.3. The method of claim 1 , wherein the unpaved surface includes limestone.4. An artificial stone is disclosed for use in creating a covering for a supporting surface. The artificial stone includes a body for placement on the supporting surface, which is shaped for mating engagement with like stones with intermediate perimeter joints to produce a continuous surface covering. 본 발명은, 우레탄 주제 25~30중량%, 경화제 25~30중량% 및 희석제 40~50중량%를 혼합한 혼합액을 제조하는 단계; 상기 혼합액에 10㎜ 이하 크기의 코르크를 투입하여 50~60℃에서 100~140분간 침지하는 단계; 침지된 코르크를 상기 혼합액으로부터 꺼내 건조시키는 단계; 및 건조된 코르크를 일정 크기로 분쇄하는 단계;를 수행하여 미세한 공극을 포함한 코르크의 외면이 수지 도포된 도로 포장용 코르크칩의 제조방법에 관한 것이다. 또한 본 발명에 따른 배수 기능을 갖는 친환경 도로 포장 방법은, 도로 포장면에 0.3~0.5㎜ 두께의 프라이머를 도포하는 단계; 상기 프라이머 상에 바인더를 도포하는 단계; 상기 바인더 상에 상기 코르크칩의 제조방법으로 제조된 코르크칩 60~75중량%와 바인더 25~40중량%를 혼합한 혼합물을 포설하는 단계; 상기 혼합물을 평탄화하여 1차로 양생하는 단계; 양생된 혼합물 상에 코팅재를 도포한 후 2차로 양생하는 단계;를 포함한다.
