Принадлежит:

A system and method are provided for designing/creating, preparing, and installing a natural stone tiled surface at a site that provides a perception of randomness to the observer while actually following a predefined pattern that facilitates simple installation by unskilled trades and allows for the advanced preparation of the stone tiles used. Advanced preparation of the stone tiles allows the offloading of at least some cutting, preparation and installation steps normally required onsite, to an offsite location. In this way, significant time and cost savings can be achieved by shifting time and resources to an offsite location, which minimizes disruptions onsite, allows the building of an inventory of standard shapes, all without compromising the aesthetics or quality of the installation. The system relies on the tessellation or tiling of a specific outline of an irregular concave polygon, that itself includes an internal set of irregular convex polygon shapes. The tessellation of an outline that includes such a set of shapes provides an optical effect that makes it difficult for an observer to recognize the repeating nature of the stones within the patterned outline. 1. A method of preparing a set of natural stone shapes for installation as a tiled surface , comprising:determining a tessellation outline comprising three or more sides;dividing the tessellation outline into a plurality of internal two dimensional shapes; andcutting one or more natural stone slabs into each of the plurality of shapes to form at least one set.2. The method of claim 1 , wherein a first pair of the three or more sides forms a first concave vertex claim 1 , and a second pair of the three or more sides forms a second convex vertex to define the tessellation outline as an irregular concave polygon.3. The method of claim 2 , wherein the first concave vertex and the first convex vertex are counterparts to each other such that in one set the first convex vertex aligns substantially with the ...

A helicopter take-off and landing pad (helipad) includes a drain conduit embedded within a surface, a bed of crushed aggregate within a portion of the surface graded to be inclined toward the drain conduit, and a plurality of pavers supported by the aggregate bed and defining a substantially level top surface to serve as a landing surface for a helicopter. The plurality of pavers are permeable to liquid on the top surface to communicate the liquid to the aggregate bed. A pump connected to the drain conduit is operable to discharge liquid directed from the aggregate bed through the drain conduit to a water separator that is operable to separate water from other liquid components of the discharged liquid. At least one collection tank is fluidly connected to the water separator to receive the other liquid components discharged by the water separator.

An impact-absorbing assembly includes a covering layer being one or more of artificial turf, rubber mats, polymer mats, short pile carpeting, particulate infill, wood chips, and ground rubber chips. Also included is a layer of underlayment panels positioned beneath the covering layer. The panels have a panel section with a plurality of drain holes formed therethrough. A top surface of the panels is configured to support the covering layer. A bottom surface of the panels has a plurality of bottom projections that cooperate to define bottom channels suitable to permit water flow across the bottom surface, the bottom channels being in fluid communication with the panel drain holes. The bottom projections define a first spring rate characteristic that is part of a first stage and a second spring rate characteristic is part of a second stage, the first stage having a smaller volume of material than the second stage. 1. An impact absorption panel having a top surface , a bottom surface , and a core , the panel including a plurality drain holes extending from the top surface to the bottom surface , the panel having a plurality of bottom surface channels , the bottom surface channels being defined by sides of a plurality of adjacent bottom projections disposed across the bottom surface and projecting downwardly , the panels being made from a plurality of polyolefin beads , the plurality of polyolefin beads bonded together by at least one of pressure and heat to produce a substantially water-impervious surface , the panels having four edges , with two of the edges having flanges extending laterally beyond the core to overlap the edges of an adjacent similar panel when the panel is arranged with similar panels in a layer of panels.2. The panel of in combination other similar panels to form a layer of panels claim 1 , thereby forming a base layer having a generally continuously flat top surface.3. The panel of including at least one locking aperture enabling an interlocking ...
