Relating to wind turbine blade manufacture

Номер: US0011448182B2
Принадлежит: Vestas Wind Systems A/S

A method of making a wind turbine blade is described. The wind turbine blade comprises first and second half shells joined together and a shear web bonded between inner surfaces of the respective half shells. The blade is made in a one-stage join up process, which involves supporting the half shells in respective mould halves, and arranging one of the half shells on top of the other half shell with the shear web arranged between the two half shells. Adhesive is provided between the shear web and the inner surfaces of the respective half shells. During the join-up process, the shear web is supported by stabilisers. The use of stabilisers avoids the need for a jig to support the shear web. Stabilisers attached to an inboard end of the shear web may remain accessible after the join-up and can be removed.

A mobile cooking cart comprising: NOT APPLICABLENOT APPLICABLENOT APPLICABLEThis invention relates generally to an indoor or outdoor portable or demonstration cooking cart. Specifically it allows a cooktop and ventilation system to be integrated into the structure of a mobile cooking cart and allow its use at any location with a compatible floor connection.Traditionally mobile and demonstration cooking carts particularly indoor ones do not utilize cooktops as part of their assembly due to problems venting. This problem has been partially solved by others by either simply not having the cooktop be a part of the mobile cart assembly altogether by locating the cooktop in an adjacent built in area, or by employing a large permanent bulky ventilation hood system overhead. The cooktop in an adjacent area approach takes the focus away from the user (cook or chef) who is engaged cooking at the cart. The user is usually facing an audience and they are forced to move away from the focal point to reach the cooktop. It also means the installation of a permanent cooktop where it may only be used intermittently. The overhead vent hood approach also has disadvantages. Placing a large overhead vent hood is visually distracting and in addition is not suitable to spaces with high ceilings. It is therefore an object of the instant invention to provide an improved integrated cooking system for a mobile cooking cart.It is a further object of the instant invention to provide a cooktop system on the mobile cooking cart countertop. It is another object of the instant invention to provide a ventilation ...

The high data transmission capacity of fiber optic networks has been exploited through wavelength division multiplexing, abbreviated WDM. By using multiple independent wavelengths, or lambdas, the fiber can carry a multiplicity of content, each in its own lambda. As the number of lambdas increases (it is currently ca. 100 and is projected to climb to 100,000 or more) it becomes increasingly challenging to allocate lambdas to traffic. The present invention automates the allocation process by detecting similar interests amongst groups of users, and creating a shared lambda for use by the users.

The articles and methods described herein provide a way to manipulate condensation on a surface by micro/nano-engineering textures on the surface and filling the spaces between the texture features with an impregnating liquid that is stably held therebetween or therewithin. The articles and methods allow droplets of water, or other condensed phases, even in micrometer size range, to easily shed from the surface, thereby enhancing contact between a condensing species and the condensing surface. It has been found that dropwise condensation is enhanced by the use of an impregnating (secondary) liquid that has a relatively high surface tension, and, even more preferably, an impregnating liquid that has both a high surface tension and a low viscosity. 1. An article comprising a liquid-impregnated surface configured to promote or inhibit condensation thereupon and/or shedding of condensate thereupon , said surface comprising a matrix of features on a solid substrate and an impregnating liquid , said features spaced sufficiently close to stably contain an impregnating liquid therebetween or therewithin.4.
