Aspects of the invention provide intelligent virtual assistant (IVA) notification rerouting including receiving a message at an electronic IVA and determining a recipient of the message by analyzing content of the message. A current location of the recipient is identified. A device and a delivery method are selected based at least in part on the current location of the recipient and a location of the device. The selected device is instructed to output the message to the recipient using the delivery method. 1. The Location Enhanced Information Deliver System Architecture (LEIA) customizes the information that is displayed to an information recipient based on optimizing a match between information purveyors, such as advertisers, and the information recipients who are local to an information delivery system. The present location enhanced information delivery system presents the information most suited to the real current audience, as measured by location information systems, rather than to a static predicted audience. While the preferred embodiment discloses a beaconing-style wireless technology, the system concept is easily extensible both to other location-information systems, such as license-plate scanning with cameras, and to utilizing the location-information for private displays of information in addition to public displays of information.

A method and system for private shipping to anonymous users purchasing goods on a computer or communications network linking users with merchant web-sites for electronic commerce. A user is issued a proxy identity and the user's mailing address is received and encrypted (Figure 1, item 106). The proxy identity and encrypted mailing address are transmitted to a merchant, and decryption information is provided to a shipper (Figure 1, item 102). Upon receipt of the encrypted shipping address from the merchant, the shipper can use the decryption information to decrypt the address and generate a package label bearing the true shipping address of the user so that the merchant is prevented from electronically capturing the true identity of the user. The present invention provides for anonymity of a user when browsing and shopping, and integrates easily and simply with existing online infrastructures of banks or credit card issuers, and delivery companies.

Examples of such systems include Digital Broadcast Satellite (DBS) and Cable Television (CATV) systems. More particularly, a preferred embodiment of the invention co-locates shared directory resources at directory servers which can provide the benefit of technology improvement through storage multiplexing to directory clients, which are assumed to have smaller, more heterogeneous and slowly-evolving memory and processing resources. The directory information stored at the directory clients is a subset of the information maintained at the directory servers selected on the basis of subscriber interest. This system automatically constructs both a target profile for each target object (program) that is broadcast, as well as a "target profile interest summary" for each subscriber, which target profile interest summary describes the subscriber's interest level in various types of target objects. The system then evaluates the target profiles against the subscriber's target profile interest summaries to generate a subscriber-customized rank ordered listing of target objects most likely to be of interest to each subscriber, so that the subscriber can select from among these potentially relevant target objects, which were automatically selected by this system from the plethora of target objects available on the data distribution system.

The recording then can be combined with a coded track that triggers a graphics demonstration previously prepared from notations taken during the recordings that describe the actual environment that corresponds to the respective sound. Also, selections can be taken from the recording that present a best example of a sound to be learned, looped for repetition, and then rerecorded digitally onto micro-floppy diskettes. Checksums for internet protocol transmissions of certain transport layer messages are generated using IPv6 pseudo-headers for both IPv4 and IPv6 internet protocol transmissions. For IPv4 transmissions, IPv4 information is mapped into an IPv6 pseudo- header (324), and the checksum is computed using the IPv6 pseudo-header (330). Among other things, embodiments of the present invention allow checksums for both IPv4 and IPv6 internet protocol transmissions such transport layer messages to be computed using a common checksum computer.
