The amount of the flush, which passes during the time the valve is moving from the upper to the lower seating, is regulated by a dash-pot comprising an air-cylinder 23 connected to the lever 19, a stationary plunger 25 mounted in a suspended bracket 37, and a weight 27. The timing can be regulated by an adjustable air-escape screw 28. The valve A may be replaced by a double-beat or equilibrium valve having a hollow stem, or a solid stem with a lateral discharge passage formed in the valve casing.

FLUSH VALVE SEAL HANDLE PACKING

A toilet flushing device has a body with an inlet and an outlet. There is a valve seat in the body in the flow path between the inlet and the outlet and a valve in the body movable toward and away from the valve seat to control water flow through the toilet flushing device. A handle assembly for causing movement of the valve toward and away from the valve seat includes a socket attached to the body and a handle mounted in the socket for pivotal movement. A plunger is positioned in part within the socket and is in contact with the handle. Pivotal movement of the handle causes axial movement of the plunger with a portion of the plunger being positioned for contact with valve for causing movement thereof. There is a spring for biasing the plunger toward the handle. A bushing is attached to the socket and has a central bore within which the plunger moves. A seal member is attached to the bushing and forms a seal therewith. The seal member has a central passage with the plunger being positioned within this central passage. The seal member has a plurality of spaced inwardly extending circumferential seal lobes which are in sealing contact with the plunger at axially spaced locations thereon. The lobes define at least one recess therebetween and there is lubricant within the at least one recess.

A cap assembly for closing an access opening in a plumbing fitting includes a cap for rotatable attachment to the plumbing fitting, with the cap having an interior surface which faces the plumbing fitting. There is an elastomeric friction ring positioned between the cap interior surface and the plumbing fitting, which friction ring has a plurality of circumferentially spaced projections facing and in contact with the plumbing fitting. The projections are formed and adapted to require less torque when the cap is rotatably attached to the plumbing fitting than when said cap is rotatably removed from the plumbing fitting.

Pressure from the input water line (26) holds a toilet's flush-valve member (12) in its seat so as to prevent water in the toilet tank (16) from flowing through flush ports (18) and a flush conduit (22) into the toilet bowl or urinal. Improvements in a tankless toilet flush system is disclosed. The Flush-All-Tankless device is disclosed in two versions: First version has the water output at the bottom that has an All-split-lock coupler joint assembly to connect it to urinals or some toilet bowls with no water tank mounting holes (like in many commercial toilet bowls). Flushometer handle seal

A toilet flushing device includes a body which has an inlet and an outlet. There is a valve seat in the body in the flow path between the inlet and the outlet and there is a valve member movable within the body toward and away from the valve seat to control water flow through the flushing device. A handle assembly is mounted on the body for causing movement of the valve member. The handle assembly includes a socket attached to the body and a handle mounted in the socket for pivotal movement relative thereto. A plunger is positioned in part within the socket and is in contact with the handle. Pivotal movement of the handle causes axial movement of the plunger, with a portion of the plunger being positioned for contact with the valve member. There is a spring biasing the plunger toward the handle and there is a bushing attached to the socket and having a central bore within which the plunger moves. A seal slide is mounted on the plunger and is in sliding engagement with the bushing as it moves relative thereto. There is a seal element between the interior of the seal slide and an exterior portion of the bushing.
