The elements comprise two external shells, each with a frame running round it, with interconnecting elements holding them at an interval apart, so that the system can also be used for heavier wall elements. The connecting elements (24) are rigid, but in thin-walled form compared with the frame shanks (10a, 10b), and they span the side surfaces (23) of the frame which face towards the centre of the wall element. Connection between the two skin frames may be effected by means of a peripherally running U-sectioned metal or plastic shaped-section. The frames are pref. made of wood. Rigidity, effective sound insulation and simplicity of construction are combined.

Prefabricated panel 10 has two adjacent upper plates 11a and 11b, and two adjacent lower plates 12a and 12b. There is at least one central joining member 20 between an upper and a lower plate and there is a core 13a and 13b between the upper and lower plates. Preferably the central joining members secure the plates relative to each other by welding 24 and 26. One central joining member may be an I beam. One joining member can be joined to another or spaced apart from it. The panels can be bent around an edge member or bend towards each other and overlap at the edge. Preferably there are inserts near the edges to support bolts for attachment to other structures. The core may be plastic and contain hollow inserts 15 which do not tessellate. The panel is usable on a building floor. A manufacturing method is also disclosed.

The invention provides a modular solid concrete floor unit 1 for use in a prefabricated building system. An edge frame 2 is made from cold rolled C-section sheet metal members assembled in a factory to precise engineering dimensions. The grid of metal reinforcing rods 4 extends across the edge frame and is secured to the edge frame at each point of contact. The concrete slab is cast, using the edge frame as permanent shuttering. The grid covers the wire mesh and enters into the hollow interiors of the C-section edge members. When the concrete is set a floor unit is turned over so that the smooth bottom surface of the cast concrete slab forms the upper face of the reinforcing floor unit which has a continuous metal edge provided by the C-section sheet metal members.

Diese Elemente (1) haben ein sehr gutes Verhältnis von niedrigem Gewicht und großer Tragfähigkeit und können daher trotz einer fertigteilähnlichen Größe von zwei Bauarbeitern von Hand getragen und montiert werden. Die Elemente (1) sind standardisiert und können industriell vorgefertigt werden, wobei durch den einfachen Aufbau ein hoher Automatisierungsgrad und damit ein sehr guter Preis erreicht werden kann, welcher unter dem der bekannten Holzriegelfertigteile liegt.

A preferred embodiment of a composite building panel comprises a cold rolled steel frame and at least one reinforcing stud. The stud of the preferred embodiment is located within the space defined by the frame and coupled to the frame at the stud's base. The exemplary stud comprises two flanges extending from the base. The flanges of the preferred stud each have a lip at an end distal to the base bent toward each other. Experiments show that the lips on the flanges of the reinforcing studs significantly increase the structural strength of a composite building panel. An alternate preferred embodiment of another composite building panel comprises two boards and at least one reinforcing stud. A metal concrete form panel having a face sheet secured to a perimeter flange that includes side rails and end rails. One or more tie ribs extend between the end rails. A bolt block is secured in each corner to the perimeter flange where the side rails meet the end rails. A bar is located spaced inside each side rail and extended between and secured to each of the pair of opposing bolt blocks of the associated end rail and also secured to each intervening tie rib and to the face sheet. 1. A modular metal concrete form panel , comprising:(a) a face sheet secured to a perimeter flange having side rails and end rails;(b) a bolt block secured to the face sheet and further secured to the perimeter flange where the side rails meet the end rails; and(c) a strengthening bar disposed inside each side rail at a distance from each side rail and extended between and secured to each of the pair of opposing bolt blocks of such end rail, wherein the strengthening bar is secured to the face sheet.2. The form panel of claim 1 , wherein the perimeter flange comprises a lip disposed on the side rails and the end rails.3. The form panel of claim 2 , wherein the bolt block comprises a protrusion disposed in a notch defined in the lip of the end rails claim 2 , whereby the bolt block is secured directly to the side rail and the lip of the side rail.4. The form panel of claim 1 , further comprising at least one rib disposed between the end rails and attached at one end to a first of the side rails and at another end to a second of the side rails.5. The form panel of claim 4 , wherein the strengthening bar is disposed through the at least one rib and attached thereto.6. Insulated and prefinished wall panel and wall cladding assembly

A first aspect provides a wall panel assembly (100) comprising a wall frame (20) having steel C- section members. Glue (30) is applied to one face (24) of the wall frame (20). The glue (30) used in the example is an epoxy based glue or a quick drying foam based glue. External cladding (40) is then mounted to the face (24) of the wall frame (20). The preferred external cladding (40) is high density polystyrene, 75 mm thick and 2500 mm long by 1200 wide. Fibreglass mesh is installed onto external surfaces of the wall cladding (40). Metal capping plates (42), if required, are installed to edge faces of the wall cladding (40) for protecting the edges faces and to hold the fibreglass mesh in place. Render (50) is then applied to the external surfaces of the wall cladding (40) having the fibreglass mesh. The preferred render is acrylic based which is applied to the fibreglass mesh fixed to the cladding (40). In an alternative form, chopped fibreglass fibre maybe pre-mixed with the acrylic render and the render mix then applied to external surfaces of the wall cladding (40). A second aspect provides an external cladding (110) comprising a core of high density polystyrene (111), in VH grade or better. The preferred thickness is 75 mm and can be in sizes up to 5000 mm long by 1200 mm wide. The polystyrene panel core (111) is coated with a sprayed on urethane hard coat (112) nominally 1 mm thick.

A metal wall panel support frame formed from a plurality of vertical members is placed over the first layer of slurry such that a flange disposed on each vertical member abuts the first layer of slurry. A second layer of slurry is sprayed over a portion of the flange on each vertical member and over a portion of the first layer of slurry. Both layers of slurry are cured and the completed building wall panel is removed from the surface and the mold.

A structural panel for building structures such as residential houses or the like comprises a honeycomb or other cellular core sandwiched between two metal face sheets and surrounded by a metal frame, frame members of the frame form mechanical interlocking connections with the face sheets of the panel. Side frame members of the panel define interlocking protrusions and channels for making interlocking joints between panels. A building structure employing the panels for forming floor and roofs includes brackets that extend into a gap between the side frame members of the panel at the panel joints and attach to the side frame members. The brackets are used for attaching the panels to other parts of the structure.
