The shelters or housing units may be deployed in emergency housing situations and may be grouped into systems of shelters. One particular embodiment comprises a rigid top frame structure, a rigid bottom frame structure, and one or more collapsible support arms connecting the top frame structure to the bottom frame structure. Rapidly deployable air supported structure systems and related methods

Transportable and rapidly deployable air supported structure systems and related methods are disclosed. The air supported structure systems include at least one transportable container. The systems also include a flexible outer membrane configured to couple to a base in a substantially air-tight manner. The systems further include at least one air handling mechanism contained within the at least one container configured to force air between the outer membrane and the base to form an enclosure therebetween via internal air pressure. The systems are configurable between a packaged state with the outer membrane contained within the at least one container, and a deployed state with the outer membrane being coupled to the base and the at least one air handling mechanism forming the enclosure via the internal air pressure. The at least one container may form a portion of the base and/or provide for ingress and egress with the enclosure.

Portable construction tent and system

A portable construction tent is provided. The portable construction tent is especially suitable for use in inclement weather conditions. In particular, the portable construction tent is especially suitable for use on a building when construction or repair is being done to the roof of the building. The portable tent unfolds, is adjusted for size, and then is secured to the parapet walls of the roof and finally is locked into place. A discard-able, recycle-able wrap is draped over support poles of the tent and is secured. In an embodiment, the wrap may be a low-density polyethylene film or cellophane. Further, in an embodiment, the wrap may be heat shrunk around the poles (which may be steel rafters), which are bolted to the parapet walls. Once in place, the portable construction tent allows workers to work on the roof of a building in almost any weather condition.

The patient privacy canopy preferably has a bottom that is substantially rectangular and sides that are arcuate. To accommodate a patient, the end opening is substantially semi-circular. A screening device detachably joins with furniture, such as a lounge chair to screen against the elements by pivoting between an expanded position for screening, and a retracted position for stowing. A plurality of support members form the structural support of the device and carry a canopy. A strut and an adjacently attached disc extend from the terminal ends of each support member. A cog wheel attaches to the discs for regulating movement of the support members, and includes a central axle and peripheral rods that extend from one side of the cog wheel. The central axle passes through a central aperture. Each peripheral rod passes through a corresponding peripheral aperture in the discs. A spring biases the cog wheel into engagement with the discs to restrain the support members. A release member presses against the spring to release the support members for movement between positions.

Wires ( 60 ) are routed through a tent or shelter ( 98, 201 ) either by attaching the wires to the tent or shelter, running the wires through hems, seams ( 100 ), or sleeves, or integrating the wires into the fabric for the tent or shelter. In accordance with an embodiment, an appliance ( 208 ) is connected to the wiring harness ( 60 ) and is mounted or attached in the tent or shelter. The appliance ( 208 ) may be mounted in a socket ( 234 ) that includes contacts that may engage a fixture or appliance, such as a light. An opposite end of a cord ( 222 ) leading to the socket is attachable to an electrical power supply, such as a battery pack ( 203 ).

The sidewall of the seat-sleeve is constructed to allow a support of a seat, particularly a boat-seat, to pass through the seat-sleeve, in such a way that the support can slide and rotate freely within the seat-sleeve. A primary hub pair includes a first hub and a second hub, with each of the first hub and the second hub coupled to the support pole.
