A system for monitoring a vehicle used in providing a service is disclosed. The system detects when the service is complete, and upon detecting that the service is complete, the system determines, from one or more sensors of the vehicle, that an object which should have been removed from the vehicle after completion of the transport service, remains in the vehicle. The system then automatically initiates performance of a remedial action. 1. A method for operating an autonomous vehicle , the method being implemented by one or more processors of the autonomous vehicle and comprising:receiving instructions to transport a passenger from a start location to a destination;after the autonomous vehicle arrives at the start location, detecting that an object has been placed in a trunk of the autonomous vehicle based on a set of information from one or more sensors of the autonomous vehicle; andafter the autonomous vehicle arrives at or near the destination, automatically initiating performance of at least one action to have the object removed from the trunk, including opening the trunk.2. Trunk lid stopper mechanism and method for controlling rotational speed of a trunk lid to slow down and halt its movement, and to hold the trunk lid at the halted position. A hinge assembly of a vehicle including first and second parts with the first part including a hinge aperture , comprising:a hinge arm to be connected to the second part and partially received through the hinge aperture; anda hinge skirt including a skirt aperture to partially receive the hinge arm, the hinge skirt to be positioned between the first and second parts.2. The hinge assembly of claim 1 , wherein the hinge skirt defines a first portion extending in a first direction and a second portion extending in a second direction different from the first direction.3. The hinge assembly of claim 2 , further comprising a cushion positioned between the second portion and the hinge arm.4. The hinge assembly of claim 3 , wherein the cushion differs in material from the second portion.5. The hinge assembly of claim 3 , wherein the cushion contacts the hinge arm.6. The unitary hinge includes a hinge pin that is substantially cylindrical in shape.
