Each damping valve may include a valve body that can be moved by a separate, controllable drive device between a closed position and an open position to set a throughflow cross section of each respective damping valve. The valve bodies may be loaded by restoring means counter to an actuating force of the drive device. A first of the restoring means may load a first of the valve bodies into its open position, and a second of the restoring means may load a second of the valve bodies into its closed position.

The disclosed invention essentially discretizes the construction of the TVD hub into three regions: nose, spokes, and flange, and simultaneously aligns unique materials and manufacturing methods for each region with the structural loads borne thereby. Consequently, the invention helps in reduces four unwanted characteristics: (1) mass; (2) polar mass moment of inertia; and (3) casting scrap; and (4) cost. Furthermore, because of this construction other enhancements to the axial and angular structural integrity of the TVD can be reaped in certain cases.

Balancing weights for cars have an adhesive tape with at least a first tape layer and a second tape layer, for attaching the balancing weights to a rim. The first tape layer is held in close proximity to a rim by a first adhesive layer. The second tape layer is held in close proximity to the balancing weights by a second adhesive layer. The first tape layer is stiffer and less flexible than the second tape layer, the second tape layer is softer and more flexible than the first tape layer. This allows easy removal of the balancing weights from the rim by pushing a wedge shaped tool between the first tape layer and the rim. 2. A torque fluctuation inhibiting device includes a mass body, a centrifugal element and a cam mechanism. The mass body is disposed in alignment with a rotor in an axial direction, and is rotatable relatively to the rotor. The cam mechanism includes a cam and a cam follower. When relative displacement occurs between the rotor and the mass body due to a centrifugal force that acts on the centrifugal element, the cam mechanism converts the centrifugal force into a circumferential force directed to reduce the relative displacement.
