A lighting apparatus is disclosed. The disclosed lighting apparatus omni-directionally radiates light emitted from a light emitting diode (LED) in a uniform light intensity. The lighting apparatus may include at least one LED and a reflector to reflect light emitted from the at least one LED. The reflector may include openings that are positioned to correspond to a position of a respective LED. The LED may emit light in a first direction and the reflector may reflect the light in a second direction such that a difference in light intensity at any angle within a first range between 0° to 135° with respect to the first direction is less than or equal 20% of an average light intensity of the entire range, and a light flux within a second range between 135° to 180° is greater than or equal to 5% of the total flux.

An LED luminaire comprising: at least one directional light-emitting element configured to emit directional light from the luminaire; at least one nondirectional light-emitting element configured to emit non-directional light from the luminaire, the at least one nondirectional light-emitting element being optically coupled to the at least one directional light-emitting element; and at least one LED light source for emitting light and being optically coupled to at least one of the at least one directional light-emitting element or the at least one nondirectional light-emitting element. 1. An LED luminaire comprising:at least one LED light source for emitting light rays;at least one directional light-emitting element optically coupled to said at least one LED light source to receive at least a portion of said light rays and being configured to emit directional light from said luminaire;at least one waveguide optically coupled to said at least one LED light source to receive at least a portion of said light rays; andat least one nondirectional light-emitting element optically coupled to said at least one waveguide and being configured to emit non-directional light.2. The LED luminaire of claim 1 , wherein said at least one waveguide is optically coupled to said at least one LED light source through said at least one directional light-emitting element.3. The present disclosure discloses an illumination device, including: a first lamp body; a driving power supply component received in the first lamp body; a second lamp body connected with the first lamp body; and a light source component received in the second lamp body; the light source component includes a light source substrate, a plurality of first light-emitting units and a plurality of second light-emitting units disposed on two surfaces of the light source substrate respectively; an interior of the first lamp body is provided with a reflector configured to reflect light emitted from the plurality of first light-emitting units; an interior of the second lamp body is provided with a lens pressing against the light source component and configured to perform a light condensation and a light collimation to light emitted from the plurality of second light-emitting. 1. An example embodiment of a backlit lamp comprises a housing, a forward facing directional light source and a rear facing directional light source. The housing may comprise a bowl portion comprising a first joining end and a forward emitting end; and a neck portion comprising a second joining end. A light emitting diode (LED) linear worklight that converts point light into a linear light source is disclosed. The LED linear worklight comprises a linear light device and a power handle that connect together. The power handle holds batteries and comprises an LED module. The linear light device comprises a worklight body and a lens. A transparent light pipe is positioned in a reflecting holder inside the worklight body. The reflecting holder holds the light pipe and reflects light back into the light pipe. The LED module emits light into a light receiving end of the light pipe. The received light travels through the light pipe and is emitted from a light emitting surface of the light pipe. The reflecting holder reflects some of the light emitted from the light emitting surface and directs the light toward the lens and the light exits the worklight body.

A luminaire is provided to redirect incidence light from one or more solid state light sources to a batwing distribution with both tunable peak angle and beam width. The peak angle is able to be tuned from 90 degree to 0 degree from the incidence direction with very high efficiency. The beam width is able to be tuned with either narrow beam angle solid state light sources for high efficiency or TIR lens or the optical properties of a reflector for versatility. Uniform illuminance distribution is thus achieved across a wide field with or without a prism or diffuser cover.
