A method of protecting a single-stage furnace in a multi-zone system , the method comprising:monitoring, by an HVAC controller of an HVAC system, a temperature of each zone of a plurality of zones;determining, by the HVAC controller, if the temperature of at least one zone of the plurality of zones is less than a threshold temperature;responsive to a determination that the temperature of at least one zone of the plurality of zones is less than the threshold temperature, powering on the HVAC system to satisfy a heating demand of the zone having a temperature less than the threshold temperature;monitoring, by the HVAC controller, an outlet temperature of the single-stage furnace;determining, by the HVAC controller, if the outlet temperature is greater than an outlet temperature threshold; andresponsive to a determination that the outlet temperature is greater than the outlet temperature threshold, modulating a gas valve to reduce a flow of gas to the single-stage furnace.2. A magnetic induction thermal heat unit, capable of producing heat by magnetic field, inducing direct agitation and friction, at the molecular level within a ferrous magnetic or semi-magnetic substrate. The substrate is specifically designed to capitalize on storing the heat generated and then transferring the heat generated to a subsequent device that requires or uses heat as its primary energy source. The system can use both a combination of induction heated substrates that are ferrous or magnetic in various configurations. The substrates can also be joined or bonded to non-magnetic or ferrous materials such as aluminum or copper as a conductive heat path to a heat pipe system where a transfer of thermal energy occurs. Additionally, convective and resultant radiant heat from the magnetic induction system can be directed back into the cumulative total of heat energy produced. The major objective ultimately being able to produce a greater degree of efficiency per given watt of electricity beyond what is currently available with current technology.

A system and method for controlling a portable space heater is presented. The portable space heater includes a housing, a heating unit and a control processor. The heating unit is contained in the housing. The control processor receives a wireless message from a wireless network and then decodes the wireless message and controls the portable space heater based on the wireless message. 1. A gusset preheating assembly and a method of using the same. The assembly includes a heating gun assembly mounted on a frame. Spreader rods open up a gap in a bag's gusset and nozzles blow warmed air into the gap. Orthogonally arranged first and second hydraulic members are operatively engaged with heating gun assembly and are activated to move the heating gun assembly vertically or horizontally. Hot air blowing into the gap from the nozzle relaxes the gusset. Pressure is applied to the relaxed gusset, thereby reducing the thickness of the gusset region of the bag. The reduction in thickness makes it possible to increase the number of gusseted bags that are packaged in a container or on a roll.

An electric resistance radiant furnace is disclosed. Solid ceramic panel emitters having electric resistance wires embedded therein produce heat. A blower receives air from a return duct. Metallic screens are located between the panel emitters. A thermostat is connected to the wires and the blower. Heat is produced by each panel emitter. Part of the heat produced is radiated from the ceramic body to the metallic screens. Air flows in a parallel manner between the panel emitters and along the metallic-screens. The thermostat heat buildup by turning on the panel emitters controlling the blower. A short cycle air pass conduit accepts a portion of heated air from between the multiple panel emitters and to convey the portion of heated air to the return duct, such that the portion of heated air is mixed with return air, and a temperature of the return air provided to the blower is elevated.
