Also disclosed is a lenticular imaging method in which a lenticular layer is provided over the imaging layer, and images to be viewed from different directions are written using light incident at different directions. Also disclosed is a phosphorescent display that may be used to display lenticular images.

The positive photosensitive resin composition of claim 1 , wherein the red dye having an absorption wavelength of 590 to 700 nm comprises a compound selected from a xanthene-based compound claim 1 , an azo-based compound claim 1 , an anthraquinone-based compound claim 1 , a cyan-based compound claim 1 , and a combination thereof.5. The present invention relates to photochromic articles that include a substrate and at least one photochromic material that is adapted to change from an unactivated form to an activated form by exposure to radiation substantially in the wavelength range from 380 to 450 nanometers when measured over a range of from 380 to 700 nanometers. The photochromic article is also adapted to retain at least 12 percent of the delta OD measured in the Outdoor Test when tested in the Behind the Windshield Test. The photochromic material can be selected from certain compounds including, for example, fluoranthenoxazines, naphthopyrans, phenanthropyrans, fluoranthenopyrans, and indenonaphthopyrans, which each have bonded thereto at least one chiral or achiral lengthening group that provides the photochromic compound with dichroic properties. The production of photocatalytic color switching of redox imaging nanomaterials for rewritable media is disclosed. The new color switching system is based on photocatalytic redox reaction enabling reversible and considerably fast color switching in response to light irradiation. In accordance with an exemplary embodiment, the color switching system can include a photocatalyst and an imaging media. With the assistance of photocatalyst, UV light irradiation can rapidly reduce the redox imaging nanomaterials accompany with obvious color changing, while the resulting reduced system can be switched back to original color state through visible light irradiation or heating in air condition. The excellent performance of the new color switching system promises their potential use as an attractive rewritable media to meet increasing needs for sustainability and environmental protection. 1. A reversible color switching system , comprising:a redox imaging material; anda photocatalyst, which photocatalyzes the imaging material to produce a photocatalytic redox reaction enabling reversible and color switching in response to light irradiation.2. An illumination panel for illuminating an object, comprising a substrate, a light diffractive grating and a light source. The substrate is made from an optically transparent material having first and second area surfaces disposed substantially parallel to each other and a light input surface for conducting a light beam into the substrate. The light diffractive grating is mounted to the first areal surface and has a slanted fringe structure embodied therein for diffracting the light beam falling incident thereto, along a first diffractive order of the slanted fringe structure. The light source produces a light beam for transmission through the input surface and direct passage through the substrate to the slanted fringe structure so as to produce an output light beam of areal extent that emerges from either the first or second areal surface along the first diffractive order, for use in illuminating an object. A spatial-intensity modulation panel can be mounted to the illumination panel to form a color image display device. In the illustrative embodiments, the light diffractive grating is a volume hologram that is pixelated and spectrally-tuned in order to carry out spectral filtering functions within the color image display device.

A significant improvement can be obtained in the stability of the composition by tight bonding and storage of the resist layer as the substrate surface.

R 10 represents a hydrogen atom if X=S and if X=CH 2 a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 18 carbon atoms, an arylalkyl group in which the alkyl group has 1 to 5 carbon atoms, or an alkenyl group having 2 to 10 carbon atoms. Photochromic compsns. which after colour formation are stable to light, darkness or heat, and do not require further development, comprise a dispersion ofindolynic- or benzothiazolic spiropyrans of formula (I) or (II) respectively in a binder comprising vinyl chloride homo- or copolymer contg. 50-100, pref. 80-90% vinyl chloride (where R1 is alkyl or phenyl, R2 is H, CH, Cl, Br, NO2, OMe or OEt, and R3 is H, Cl, Br, NO2, OMe or OEt; R4 is alkyl, phenyl, alkoxy, phenoxy or thioalkyl and R5 is H or alkyl, OMe or SMe). In a pref. embodiment the binder also contains 20-80% polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC). Prodn. of (positive) images either (a) from negatives by exposure to 2000-4000 angstroms radiation or (b) by photothermal recording process in which e.g. a thermal bead pref. at >=120 degrees C is used to inscribe a pattern and the background then stabilised by exposure to 2000-4000 Angstroms radiation. In (a) the unexposed parts may be used to superpose further images or may be permanently stabilised by the PVDC by exposure to pref. 1600-2600 Angstroms radiation.

1. L'invention concerne un procédé d'enregistrement d'images de photons de haute intensité. 2. Le procédé est caractérisé en ce qu'il consiste à exposer un élément d'enregistrement sous forme d'une information à des rayons ultraviolets se situant dans la gamme de 200 à 400 nm de telle sorte que l'élément d'enregistrement reçoive une dose d'énergie de radiation d'au moins 1 x 10**7 erg/cm** 2, cet élément d'enregistrement contenant : (A) au moins un composé précurseur de colorant qui est un composé de spiropyranne ou un composé répondant à une des formules générales définies dans la spécification ci-dessus, et (B) au moins un composé organique sensible aux rayons ultraviolets et pouvant éliminer un atome d'halogène lors de l'exposition à des rayons ultraviolets. 3. L'invention est utilisée dans les procédés d'enregistrement au moyen d'un rayon laser dans lequel on forme des images en temps réel, c'est-à-dire que des images visibles sont formées directement au moment de l'irradiation de l'élément d'enregistrement sous forme d'une image. 1.
