본 발명은 지능형 순번발행시스템 및 그 제어방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 순번발행시스템에는 대기번호 발권 동작을 제어하는 순번발행기(200)와, 상기 순번발행기(200)의 장애 발생 시 상기 대기번호 발권 동작을 제어하는 백업PC(300)와, 상기 순번발행기(200)의 장애 발생 여부를 감시하는 관리PC(400)가 구비된다. 상기 순번발행기(200)에는 상기 대기번호 발권 동작을 전반적으로 제어하는 제어부(210)가 구비된다. 또 상기 제어부(210)와 백업PC(300)로부터의 대기번호 발권요청에 따라 순번대기표를 인쇄하도록 인터페이스하는 프린터부 인터페이스모듈(220)이 구비된다. 상기 프린터부 인터페이스모듈(220)에는 상기 제어부(210)와 RS-232 통신방식으로 연결되는 제1통신인터페이스부(222)와, 상기 백업PC(300)와 근거리 통신망(local area network;LAN)으로 연결되는 제2통신인터페이스부(224)가 구비된다. 상기 제2통신인터페이스부(224)는 상기 LAN 통신방식을 통해 전송된 발권 순번정보를 시리얼 통신에 맞게 소정의 신호레벨로 변환하는 역할을 수행한다. 또 상기 프린터부 인터페이스모듈(220)에는 상기 제1통신인터페이스부(222) 및 제2통신인터페이스부(224)를 선택적으로 연결하는 스위칭부(226)가 구비된다. 상기 스위칭부(226)는 릴레이 또는 아날로그 스위치 집적회로가 사용된다. 또 상기 스위칭부(226)의 동작을 제어하는 컨트롤러(228)가 구비된다. 상기 컨트롤러(228)는 상기 순번발행기(200)의 장애 발생 여부에 따라 상기 제어부(210) 또는 백업PC(300)로부터 발생하는 초기화명령신호를 전송받아 상기 스위칭부(226)의 동작을 제어한 다. 상기 스위칭된 상태에 따라 상기 제어부(210) 또는 백업PC(300)로부터 전송되는 발권 순번정보에 대응하는 순번대기표를 인쇄하는 프린터부(230)가 구비된다. 이와 같은 본 발명에 의하면, 서로 상이한 통신방식을 선택적으로 적용하여 대기번호 발권 동작이 안정되게 수행되는 이점이 있다. 순번발행기, 장애, 복구, RS-232, LAN, 릴레이, 컨트롤러
