A computer-implemented method for publishing a user credential includes receiving a score regarding at least one capability of an individual, wherein the score is based at least on a plurality of test inputs provided by the individual in response to an assessment test; receiving permission, from the individual, to allow publication of a credential certificate on a computer-implemented user profile associated with the individual, wherein the credential certificate is based at least in part on the score and includes at least one interface element for requesting additional information related to the individual; publishing the credential certificate and at least one interface element on the computer-implemented user profile associated with the individual; and providing a link to the additional information in response to a request for the additional information from the authorized employer, wherein the request is based on activation of at least one interface element by the authorized employer.

System and method for generating and implementing individualized educational practice worksheets

A method and system generates and administers an individualized student worksheet. A set of problems and a unique embedded data pattern are generated and printed on a worksheet substrate. A teacher may point a camera pen point at an area of the pattern to identify the substrate and a location on the substrate. Based on this information, the method and system may access a worksheet file to identify the problem whose physical position corresponds to the captured embedded data. The system may present the problem's solution to the teacher, who may then use the pen to mark the problem as correct or incorrect, and optionally annotate notes for the student, teacher or others. The camera pen may collect the teacher's marks and annotations and store them with the worksheet file for later retrieval.

Anomaly Detection Educational Process

A process for educating a user to detect a visual target and a target-related anomaly in a visual field is provided that includes the collection of an image of a visual field displaying the target and the target-related anomalies. An image key is generated with location of the target and the target-related anomalies. The image is transformed into multiple panels that vary between one another as to a visual concealment parameter. A student user is then shown the multiple panels on a computer, with the user designating inputs into the computer as to user perceived location of the target and the target-related anomalies for each of the panels. A parent provides information regarding a child and other family members to a system. The information is then used to create customized assemblages of linear and interactive media, which may be further personalized for that child's entertainment and education. The customized and personalized episode so assembled persists and can be replayed indefinitely. New episodes are created regularly (e.g., daily), and can be based on the child's age, preferences, and performance while experiencing previous episodes. Scheduled events (e.g., birthdays, starting school), local current events (e.g., weather), the current situation (e.g., current location, time of day), etc. may also influence the creation of new episodes. While monitoring the child's progress, the system provides to a parent suggestions for activities related to the child's recent episodes.

Embodiments of the invention provide techniques for verifying that an attendee of an online educational presentation views material that is presented. In some embodiments, a server computer may instruct an attendee's client computer to present verification information to the attendee which the attendee is to acknowledge. The verification information may, for example, comprise one or more codes, and may be presented at a point in time which is difficult for an attendee to predict.
