A bracket assembly for holding an article has a base having a rod receiving section that receives a rod assembly including a rod to which an article can be hung. The rod receiving section includes a hollow housing in which a spring and actuator are disposed. A sidewall of the housing has an opening including opposed slots that extend upwardly and away from each other from a junction where lower ends of the slots meet. An inner section of the rod assembly extends through the opening in the sidewall of the housing and is secured to the actuator. Upon the rod deflecting in response to wind loading of the article, the inner section of the rod assembly moves upwardly in one of the slots and translates the actuator upwardly compressing the spring. The compressed spring urges the actuator downwardly to return the actuator to a neutral position.

Disclosed is a combination mounting and storing device for a vehicle safety flag that is used to mark an oversized load. The device includes a hollow cylindrical housing having an interior volume and a bobbin disposed therein. The bobbin includes a reel that is adapted to retract and extend an elongated cord that is attached to the vehicle safety flag. The device further includes a magnet that allows a user to removably mount the device onto the inside of a truck bed or trunk. When the device is in use, the cord is extended outward so as to allow a user to secure the safety flag onto the extreme rear of the projecting load. The device can be mounted to the rear of the vehicle when transporting an oversized load and can be easily stored in a glove compartment when it is not in use. 1. A perimeter warning system is provided having a plurality of substantive stand bases and stanchions, which when combined together with a flag line provide a means to demark the perimeter of a surface across which there is danger. In a particular illustrative embodiment of the present invention, a retractable safety banner system and method are disclosed having a retractable safety banner, a reel housing and a reel. The reel winds in and contains the wound up safety banner inside of the reel housing. The organizing guide forces the reeled out safety banner's flags and strap into longitudinal alignment on the reel so that the safety banner is restored to its original configuration when wound back into the reel housing after deployment. A flag displaying assembly comprising:a pole coupled to a surface such that said pole is substantially perpendicular to the surface, said pole being hollow;a plurality of holes positioned in said pole, said plurality of holes extending linearly from proximate to a top of said pole toward a bottom of said pole;a flag coupled to said pole proximate to said top; anda forced air unit coupled to said pole proximate to said bottom such that said forced air unit is in fluidic communication with said pole wherein said forced air unit is positioned for supplying air through said pole to said holes such that the air exiting said pole through said holes is positioned for extending said flag from said pole.2. The assembly of claim 1 , further including said pole being circularly shaped when viewed longitudinally.3. Flags that include a body and a fastener system including a first sheet having a plurality of hook fasteners on at least one side thereof and a second sheet having a plurality of loop fasteners on at least one side thereof. The first and second sheets are secured to the body along an edge thereof and each protrudes therefrom. The two sheets are configured to wrap around a support structure such that the hook and loop fasteners are coupled and the two sheets form a sleeve that encloses a portion of the support structure and removably secures the body to the support structure. 1. A flag comprising:a body; anda fastener system comprising a first sheet having a plurality of hook fasteners on at least one side thereof and a second sheet having a plurality of loop fasteners on at least one side thereof, the first and second sheets being secured to the body along an edge thereof and each protruding therefrom;wherein the first and second sheets are configured to wrap around a support structure such that the hook and loop fasteners are coupled and the sheets define a sleeve that encloses a portion of the support structure and removably secures the body to the support structure.2. The flag of claim 1 , wherein the first and second sheets overlap the edge of the body.3. The flag of claim 2 , wherein the first and second sheets are secured to oppositely disposed sides of the body.4. The flag of claim 1 , wherein the first and second sheets are secured to oppositely disposed sides of the body.5. The flag of claim 1 , further comprising a layer between the body and the first and second sheets configured to reinforce the edge of the body.6.
