A shared light source is, or only few shared light sources are, optically coupled to the light-coupling structures of the actuating elements which, for their part, are optically coupled to each other by adjoining light-coupling structures. The light-guiding structures guide the light coupled into the actuating elements to the actuating surface adjacent to the film. The actuating elements may be provided with symbols on their actuating surface adjoining the film, the symbols being visible through the film. Preferably, however, it is the film itself which is provided with symbols and/or legends which are assigned to the actuating elements arranged therebehind. These symbols are then illuminated by the actuating elements.

A liquid silicone rubber 27, which contains a component that does not adhere to the upper and lower molds but adheres to the pressing element 25, is introduced into a cavity. After the upper and lower molds are pressed and held at a predetermined temperature for a predetermined time, the upper and lower molds are opened to remove a molded product in which an intermediate portion in an axial direction of the pressing element 25 is supported in the plate through hole by the silicone rubber 27. A back surface of a key top 26 is attached to the key-top end of the pressing element 25 in the molded product. Thus, the pressing element and the elastic member are easily and reliably integrally molded by using the elastic member, and durability of the push-button switch is improved.

A method for using a bismuth based alloy as switch or socket power-off element which is applied to a switch or a socket, and the switch or the socket includes two conductive elements for conducting currents and one power-off element. A bismuth based alloy is used as the power-off element and a melting point of the bismuth based alloy is between 100° C. to 380° C. When the power-off element is in an environment below the melting point, the two conductive elements are mutually contacted and capable of conducting currents, whereas the power-off element is only receptive of the currents but does not serve as a medium for conducting the currents; when a working temperature of the switch or the socket is close to or exceeds the melting point, the power-off element loses rigidity and enables the two conductive elements to be separated from each other, thereby forming an electrically disconnected state. 1.
