A method of providing power to a subsea equipment electrical system underwater, without a wet-mated electrical connection is disclosed. The method comprises temporarily coupling a rotary coupling element 18 of a power source 12 to the subsea equipment 10 and turning that element to generate electric power on board the equipment. Subsea equipment that implements the method comprises an on-board electric power generator 32 connected to an electrical load 34 such as a rechargeable battery to charge the battery when the generator is driven and a rotary coupling element 20 that is turned by an external drive to drive the generator. An alternating magnetic field from the transmitting coil(s) excites the magnet in the receiver into mechanical resonance. The vibrating magnet then functions similar to an energy harvester to induce voltage/current on an internal coil, piezoelectric material, or variable capacitor. Embodiments utilize magnetic coupling and electromechanical resonance for safe, spatially distributed, low-frequency power delivery to portable devices.

In some instances, the system can be used to generate an ambient RF energy map that may be used by one or more vehicles to identify an optimal spot to park for harvesting RF signals. 1. A method comprising:receiving, in a vehicle, a radio-frequency (RF) signal;obtaining electrical energy from at least a portion of the RF signal;storing the electrical energy in an energy storage element; andproviding, based on the stored electrical energy, power to a device from the energy storage element.2. A transient current in a rectifier circuit is effectively reduced. In the rectifier circuit, a current flows from a power supply to a coil when a transistor is turned ON. When the transistor is turned OFF, the current of the coil generates a first reverse voltage to be applied to the rectifier. 1. A rectifier circuit causing a rectification current to flow from a second terminal to a first terminal , the rectifier circuit comprising:a third terminal between the first terminal and the second terminal;a first rectifier connected to the first terminal and the second terminal;a coil connected to the first terminal and the third terminal;a second rectifier connected to the third terminal and the second terminal;a transistor having a source or an emitter connected to the third terminal; anda power supply having a negative electrode connected to the first terminal and a positive electrode connected to a drain or a collector of the transistor, whereina first reverse voltage is applied to the rectifier circuit by a current in the coil.2. The rectifier circuit according to claim 1 , whereinfollowing the first reverse voltage, a second reverse voltage is applied to the rectifier circuit.3. The rectifier circuit according to claim 1 , whereinafter the first reverse voltage reaches a predetermined voltage of 5 V or above, the second reverse voltage is applied to the rectifier circuit.4. The rectifier circuit according to claim 2 , whereinafter the first reverse voltage reaches a predetermined voltage of 5 V or above, the second reverse voltage is applied to the rectifier circuit.5. The rectifier circuit according to claim 2 , whereinthe first reverse voltage is 12% or above and 88% or below the second reverse voltage.6. Various embodiments relate to a drive arrangement for a closure element of a motor vehicle which has an electrical motor vehicle on-board power system, wherein an electric drive for motorized adjustment of the closure element is provided, wherein the drive is assigned a coupling arrangement by which the drive can be actuated electrically. It is proposed that at least one cableless transmission path, in particular to an on-board-power-system-side coupling arrangement, via which the drive can be actuated, can be generated by the drive-side coupling arrangement.
