Network hubs and devices exchange signals over a selected channel only during active superframes of their network. Network hubs broadcast coexistence information during their active superframes. A hub of network B desiring to use the selected channel first attempts to fit its active superframes within network A's inactive superframes, if available. If network A is not providing inactive superframes, then the network B hub determines whether network A is willing to coexist using active superframe interleaving on the channel. If so, the network B hub sends an interleave request message to the network A hub, which may accept the message and send back an interleave response message. The network A hub then offers new inactive superframes, and the network B hub adapts the transmissions and receptions of network B to fit within these inactive superframes.

The tool may present interference severity levels to an operator, and may initiate Radio Resource Management (RRM) procedures to mitigate interference problems in the network.

Disclosed herein are an apparatus and method for providing communication services. The apparatus includes a location information acquisition unit, a radio station information acquisition unit, and an offloading unit. The location information acquisition unit acquires information about the current location of the user terminal by sending a location information request message to the user terminal The radio station information acquisition unit requests information about a white space radio station from which the user terminal can receive the communication services by sending the information about the current location of the user terminal to a white space server, and acquires, from the white space server, information about an available white space radio station. The offloading unit sends the information about the available white space radio station to the user terminal, and also sends information about the user terminal to the available white space radio station.

A method comprising:grouping, by the computing device, one or more of the plurality of communication nodes into a plurality of communication node groups, wherein communication nodes in individual communication node groups of the plurality of communication node groups are in proximity;selecting, by the computing device, a representative communication node from the individual communication node groups, the selected representative communication node; anddetermining, by the computing device, at least one of a number or location of a beacon node to be placed, based at least in part on an individual representative communication node receiving a signal from a plurality of beacon nodes;wherein the selecting comprises formulating and solving an objective function comprising the plurality of communication nodes to be divided into a plurality of communication node groups.2.
