Using the channel management methods in the mobile communication system employing the multicarrier structure, an increase in the number of unnecessary retransmissions is prevented, so that unnecessary retransmission and power consumption of the terminal can be reduced and the waste of radio resources and the degradation of base station performance due to unnecessary retransmission can be prevented.

A method in a switching node of a circuit-switched telecommunications network comprises the steps of receiving from a packet-switched telecommunications network a request to establish a call towards a mobile station of the circuit-switched telecommunications network, and sending a request message to a location register for an instruction comprising one or more parameters for allowing the continuation of the establishment of the call to the mobile station. Upon receiving the one or more parameters from the location register, at least one of the one or more parameters is used to establish the call towards the mobile station. Furthermore, at least one of the one or more parameters is sent to the packet-switched telecommunications network. The at least one or more parameters sent to the packet-switched telecommunications network relates to the location of the mobile station. Therefore, entities within a packet-switched telecommunications network (e.g. an IMS network) that handle the terminating call for a call that is delivered to circuit-switched telecommunications network access (e.g. GSM), receive location information related to the connected party, i.e. the party (mobile terminal) receiving the call. This information is received transparently in SIP signalling.

Systems, methods, devices, and computer program products are described for the reduction of signaling to the core network of a wireless communications system. In one example, a proxy receives a request message transmitted from a mobile device to the core network. The proxy traps the request message to prevent it from being forwarded to the core network. The proxy generates a request accept message in response to the trapped request message, the request accept message spoofing a core network response to the request message. The proxy transmits the request accept message to the mobile device.

The present invention provides a method and system for transmitting a bearer control mode in a roaming scenario. The method includes: a hPCRF sets a bearer control mode of an IP-CAN session, and forwards the bearer control mode of the IP-CAN session to vPCRF through an S9 subsession corresponding to the IP-CAN session; or, an hPCRF sets a bearer control mode of a gateway control session, and forwards the bearer control mode of the gateway control session to the vPCRF through an S9 subsession corresponding to the gateway control session. The system includes an hPCRF and a vPCRF. The present invention enables the hPCRF to select different bearer control modes for a plurality of IP-CAN sessions established by a User Equipment (UE) and to forward to the vPCRF, and the vPCRF can further send the bearer control modes to the corresponding enforcement network elements to be executed.
