A slide bracket includes an end plate 11 and at least one hanging block 3. The end plate 11 is provided with a locating holder 2 and a corresponding opening 111. The locating holder 2 contains a chamber 21 optionally containing a spring 5. The hanging block 3 has a first post 31 and a second post 32, and is disposed into the chamber 21 to hold against the spring 5 to expand in relation to the opening 111 and the chamber 21 so to allow the first and second posts 31, 32 penetrating through the opening 111 of the end plate 11 for securing the bracket to a support without relying upon tools. A retaining member 4 may be pivotally connected to the bracket, the retaining member 4 having a locking end 41 heading in the direction of the end plate 11. The universal bracket is adaptable to supports with square or round mounting holes.

Engagement structures may be used to help the housing grip external objects and to hold the housing portions together. The hinges may be provided with rotational detents to help hold the flexible display in desired positions.

A flat-panel display device according to the present invention includes a device main body including a display surrounded with cabinets having a mounting hole formed forward from a back face to intersect, at right angles, with a plane P including a vertical line passing through a gravity center G of the device main body and to extend at least to the plane, and a stand including a support pillar portion mounted to the cabinet from a back face side thereof and a base portion configured to retain the support pillar portion in a setting up state, the stand enabling the device main body to stand alone when the support pillar portion is mounted to the device main body by a shaft portion that is engaged in the mounting hole to reach the plane. 1. A flat-panel display device comprising:a device main body including a display surrounded with a cabinet having a mounting hole formed forward from a back face to intersect, at right angles, with a plane including a vertical line passing through a gravity center of the device main body and to extend at least to the plane; anda stand including a support pillar portion mounted to the cabinet from a back face side thereof and a base portion configured to retain the support pillar portion in a setting up state, the stand enabling the device main body to stand alone when the support pillar portion is mounted to the device main body by a shaft portion that is engaged in the mounting hole to reach the plane.2.
