A maximum value is determined for the amount of liquid to be converted to vapor during a daylight portion of a day as a result of the heat generated in the inner cylinders of the one or more solar collectors. An amount of the liquid is directed into the one or more solar collectors, where the amount is a value that is at least the maximum amount value.

At a predetermined pressure across the automatic backflushing filters, the automatic backflushing filters are reverse cycled, one at a time, to backflushing particles back into the waste water pit. Periodically, the misters are purged and/or cleaned to remove particles therefrom. In response to sunlight, solar panels provide DC voltage directly to the submersible pump. If pressure from the submersible pump gets excessive, a pressure relief valve removes the excess pressure.

Use of detachable top glass assembly and teflon cork at the bottom allow for easy cleaning of the interior of the still and discharge of concentrate, respectively. We capture that water, and reuse it, to grow food or provide potable water. Reclaiming and reusing the evaporated water reduces both the amount of new water required for plant growth or potable water production, and also reduces the total energy requirement for the process. Over a large growing area, we expect to reclaim a significant amount of transpired water, which will reduce the need for new water to grow food and/or provide pure unpolluted potable water, at lower total cost.

An apparatus , comprising:a reservoir for an aqueous salt solution;at least two electrodes spaced apart from each other integrated into the reservoir;a controller configured to provide electricity to the at least two electrodes, wherein the controller controls a provision of electricity to cause a first one of the at least two electrodes to be positively charged and a second one of the at least two electrodes to be negatively charged; andan impeller disposed in the reservoir for mixing the aqueous salt solution in the reservoir.2. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the impeller is disposed on an inner surface of the reservoir.3. The apparatus of claim 1 , wherein the at least two electrodes are iridium-coated.4. The apparatus of claim 1 , further comprising claim 1 , a means for determining an amount of at least one of a product or a by-product of at least one of an electrochemical activation (ECA) product solution of the apparatus or the aqueous salt solution.5. The apparatus of claim 4 , wherein the means for determining comprises at least one sensor selected from the sensors consisting of: a free available chlorine (FAC) sensor claim 4 , a pH sensor claim 4 , an electrode temperature sensor claim 4 , and an aqueous salt solution resistance sensor.6. The present invention discloses a pressure converter system for sustainably forcing saline water through a semi-permeable membrane, comprising a hydraulic oil pump, a hydraulic oil cylinder comprising pressurized oil generated from the hydraulic oil pump, a sustainable energy source for powering the hydraulic oil pump, a saline water cylinder containing saline water, wherein the hydraulic oil cylinder and the saline water cylinder are connected using a piston and an electrical circuit for determining a direction of movement of the piston. This system may be developed to a stand-alone desalination facility comprising a ducted windmill that can harvest energy from a wide range of wind speeds, especially very low wind speeds. Because of the above, the present invention successfully converts mechanical energy to high pressure that is required to produce fresh water from saline water.

A plant and process for efficient production of low deuterium water from seawater. The plant includes a solar still with a black pan for collecting solar heat, that vaporizes portions of the seawater and a porous sloped membrane positioned over the black pan to collect and condense the vapor and to direct the condensate via gravity to a condensate tank. The condensate water is separated into its atomic components, hydrogen and oxygen, in an electralizer; then the hydrogen and oxygen are combined in a reactor to produce heat and low deuterium water. In preferred embodiments the reactor is a fuel cell which in addition to the heat and water also produces electricity. At least a portion of the heat produced in the reactor is used in the solar still to assist in the vaporization of the seawater and to greatly increase the efficiency of the still.

A UV reactor (8) powered via a solar panel (12) and/or external electricity source is used to disinfect water passing along a fluid connection (6) between a storage tank (2) and the unit outlet (4). A stand-alone water disinfection unit contains at least one water storage tank, an outlet for dispensing water and a fluid connection between the tank and outlet. The fluid connection includes at least one UV reactor and at least one valve (10) for sealing the connection. At least one solar panel is used to generate electricity and/or an external electrical input is provided. A control device (14) connected to the solar panel and/or external electrical input is used to activate the UV reactor in order to generate UV radiation for disinfecting water flowing towards the outlet when the valve is open.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Erwärmen und Destillieren von Flüssigkeiten mittels Sonnenenergie. Hierzu dient ein Flachkollektor, in welchem alle Verfahrensstufen angeordnet sind. DOLLAR A Das Kollektorgehäuse wird, ausgenommen der transparenten Abdeckung, direkt aus Isoliermaterial, vorzugsweise Schaumglas, hergestellt. DOLLAR A Das zu destillierende Eingangsprodukt wird mit einem Düsenrohr und eingesetzten Dochten im Kopf des Kollektors verteilt und sickert oder rieselt über den schräggestellten Kollektorboden. DOLLAR A Der Kollektorboden ist innen vorzugsweise schwarz gefärbt und dient als Absorber für solare Strahlung. Zur Minderung der Sicker- und Rieselgeschwindigkeit hat der Kollektorboden innen eine profilartige Oberfläche. Ein aufliegendes Vlies ist zur Solarabsorbtion ebenfalls schwarz gefärbt, ist aber teilweise durchscheinend. Es endet in einer Sammelrinne für nicht verdampftes Eingangsprodukt. DOLLAR A Nicht verdampftes Eingangsprodukt wird zukünftig Sumpfprodukt genannt. Dieses rinnt durch einen Rohranschluß aus dem Kollektor. Das verdapfte Eingangsprodukt, zukünftig Dampf genannt, kondensiert unter der transparenten Abdeckung und rinnt in horizontale und vertikale Kondensatrinnen, wo sich das Kondensat sammelt und über einen Rohranschluß aus dem Kollektor geführt wird.
