Изобретение относится к способу изготовления упаковочных тюбиков. Упаковочный тюбик состоит из выполненной из пластмассы трубки тюбика и соединенной с ней предварительно изготовленной из пластмассы головки тюбика. Трубку тюбика устанавливают на окружную поверхность, а головку тюбика - на торцевую поверхность оправки. Оправку вместе с трубкой и головкой тюбика вводят в матрицу и в ней соединяют друг с другом посредством порции соединительного материала с использованием тепла и давления. В качестве порции соединительного материала используют предварительно изготовленное кольцо из пластифицированной пластмассы, которое помещают на заплечик головки тюбика или торцевую поверхность оправки. Соединение головки и трубки тюбика друг с другом осуществляют путем запрессовывания между ними порции соединительного материала. Изобретение позволяет получать стабильные и герметичные соединения. 11 з.п. ф-лы, 3 ил.

The invention relates to a folded honeycomb structure and to a method and device for producing said folded honey- comb structure from a corrugated core web. The folded honeycomb structure has a number of adjacent corrugated core strips which lie in one plane and are in- terconnected by cover layer strips. Said cover layer strips are folded about 180.degree. and are perpendicular to said plane. Ac- cording to the inventive method for pro- ducing the folded honeycomb structure, interconnected corrugated core strips are produced first by making a number of longitudinal scores in a corrugated core web. These corrugated core strips are then alternately rotated through 90.degree. re- spectively so that the cover layer strips fold and the folded honeycomb structure is formed. The device corresponding to this method consists of a number of rotating blades for making the longitudinal scores and a number of guiding elements for rotating the interconnecting corrugated core strips.

The method includes the steps of positioning a heat-sensitive element within a section of elastic tubing, applying tensile forces to the opposed ends of the tubing section, and heating the heat-sensitive element and the portion of the tubing adjacent the heat-sensitive element so that the heat-sensitive element adheres to the adjacent tubing portion. The heat-sensitive element and the adjacent tubing portion are allowed to cool until a conjoined reduced-diameter portion is formed. The reduced-diameter portion is cut to form two ends, each having a reduced-diameter end. The reduced-diameter ends are then each secured to a needle, forming two vessel loops.

What is disclosed is a method for making a gastight multiple-walled panel of extruded resin from an integrally extruded hollow panel comprising two parallel, plane outer walls having supporting partitions disposed between them and defining long hollow cells with open end faces, which method comprises heating the hollow panel at least in the area of the open end faces of said hollow cells until the resin is in the thermoplastic state, and then heat sealing the two outer walls in the thermoplastic area thereof in a gastight manner either to each other or to a tape of a further thermoplastic material covering the end faces, the seal so produced being held for at least 1 minute at a temperature ranging from 10.degree. C beneath the Vicat softening point to 20.degree. C above the Vicat softening point of the resin.

The bent portion of the cylinder maintained in contact with the outer marginal portion of the bottom plate is pressed and heated, so as to join them by the fusion thereof. An apparatus suitable for carrying such method into practice includes a rotatable table on which a series of working stations are located for carrying out the process steps by a series of devices for continuously producing plastic cylinderical containers on a mass production basis.

At the points where the crease lines cross one another, a multiple folding of the laminate takes place on conversion to packing containers which sometimes can lead to the appearance of small cracks in the different material layers, so that the impermeability of the packing containers may be adversely affected. In accordance with the invention a packing laminate is proposed, where these difficulties are overcome in that the laminate has been provided with specially designed auxiliary crease lines, which complete or substitute the crease lines proper in the areas where the risk of crack formation is great.

The sealant film is selected on the basis of providing (a) pouches with an M-test value substantially better, at the same film thickness, than that obtained with pouches made with film of a specified blend of an ethylene-butene copolymer and a high pressure polyethylene, or (b) an M(2)-test value of less than about 12%, for pouches having a volume of from greater than 1.3 to 5 liters, or (c) an M(1.3)-test value of less than about 5% for pouches having a volume of from 0.1 to 1.3 liters. The M, M(2) and M(1.3)-tests are defined pouch drop tests. The pouches may also be made from composite films in which the sealant film forms at least the inner layer.

The amount of waste carpeting that is landfilled or otherwise disposed of is significantly reduced, as is the need for the mining mineral fillers, by utilizing specially processed waste carpeting as a filler in the production of new hot melt carpet backcoating, roofing materials, or other similar products. Waste carpeting (post-consumer and/or waste from new carpet manufacture) is collected and size-reduced, typically in a first coarse size-reduction, and then after densification to a finer size-reduction. The size-reduced waste carpeting is added as filler to at least one other material, such as polymers in standard latex, EVA, or PVC carpet backcoatings, to provide a hot melt composite used in the manufacture of a useful product (like carpet backcoating), and then the composite material is used to make the useful product (such as carpet backcoating, which is used as a primary or secondary backcoating in the manufacture of new carpeting). The waste carpeting may provide between about 40-100% of the filler of carpet backcoating, with any remainder made up by conventional fillers, such as calcium carbonate.

A method and apparatus for making filter means of a type which is constructed to provide elongated, high-surface area, cavities defined on opposite sides of a relatively thin wall formed of filtering material with only the ends of the filter means contacting an overwrapped outer tube thereby presenting maximum available surface area of the material from which the products are formed to the smoke for filtration is disclosed. A tow of a suitable filtering material is passed through an air nozzle containing a mandrel centered therein, the tow thereby achieving a uniformly random, but tubular, configuration and then through a steam-curing station followed by an air-curing station. The formed rod is then again steam cured and passes to a crimping device which imparts a particular configuration thereto. The crimped rod is then again air cured, wrapped, and cut. In another embodiment, an addition material may be added by means either of a printing applicator device or a pulsating nozzle device.

ABSTRACT INFLATABE TUBE The invention relates to inflatable tubes such as buoyancy tubes for inflatable lifeafts and is aimed to provide tubes with bends in them that can be formed with a considerable reduction in the number of cutting and joining operation conventionally required and with a corresponding reduction in numbers of seams and hence sources of leakage. The invention provides a method of making such tube by overlapping and joining the longitudinal edges (231) of a suitable sheet material (230) to make a flattened tube (230A), marking on said tube a fold line (234) corresponding to the desired bend position, marking corresponding area (237A, 237B) one on each side of the fold line, folding about the fold line to bring and together these areas and then sealing the ends (232A, 232B) of the tube. By making a number of bends the ends of the tube can be sealed to each other, thereby making an endless tube of polygonal plan form.

A fiber composite structural component such as a fitting, bracket, mounting or the like is produced by applying fiber material such as fiber threads or fiber yarns in an automatic circular weaving operation to a core that has at least two sections, to form a fiber material body. One core section is removed from the fiber material body when the weaving is completed. The body is then deformed in a mold that has the contour of the finished structural component with at least one mold core section still in the fiber material body. The deformed configuration of the structural component is then impregnated in an RTM device with a resin and hardener followed by curing. Reinforcements may be inserted or secured to the fiber material body prior to the impregnated and curing step.

The invention relates to a folded honeycomb structure and to a method and device for producing said folded honeycomb structure from a corrugated core web. The folded honeycomb structure has a number of adjacent corrugated core strips which lie in one plane and are interconnected by cover layer strips. Said cover layer strips are folded about 180 DEG and are perpendicular to said plane. According to the inventive method for producing the folded honeycomb structure, interconnected corrugated core strips are produced first by making a number of longitudinal scores in a corrugated core web. These corrugated core strips are then alternately rotated through 90 DEG respectively so that the cover layer strips fold and the folded honeycomb structure is formed. The device corresponding to this method consists of a number of rotating blades for making the longitudinal scores and a number of guiding elements for rotating the interconnecting corrugated core strips.

The shape of the dressing allows the dressing to be placed into the wound site such that it fills the shape and size of the wound. Embodiments include formation of various rope dressing and their use in conjunction with reduced pressure therapy.

The sealant film from which the pouch is made is selected from about 50 to 100 parts by weight of a linear copolymer of ethylene and a C6 - C10 alpha-olefin, and from 0 to 115 parts by weight of at least one polymer selected from a blend comprising linear a copolymer of ethylene and a C4 - C10 alpha-olefin, and a high-pressure polyethylene. The sealant film is selected on the basis of providing pouches with an M-test value substantially better, at the same film thickness, than that obtained with pouches made with film of a specified blend of an ethylene/butene-1 copolymer and a high pressure polyethylene. The M-test is a defined pouch drop test. The pouches may also be made from composite films in which the sealant film forms at least the inner layer.

A method of manufacturing panels whose core material has outer layers of thermoplastic resin. The core material is either foam or a honeycomb structure made of aramid paper. A belt press provides rapid heating and cooling so that the core does not degrade. As the process is rapid, aramid fibers can be used to reinforce the outer resin layers without deleterious decomposition of the fibers at temperatures used to heat the panels during forming.

Provided is a method capable of easily and inexpensively molding a flanged fiber-reinforced resin hollow part with a non-uniform cross-section and a bent portion with a sufficiently reduced weight and substantially uniform thickness. To this end, a hollow laminate ( 20 ) is formed by laminating reinforced fibers ( 21 ) and matrix resin ( 24 ) on the circumference of a coupled body of a preformed hollow resin core ( 10 ) and a second core ( 15 ). The second core ( 15 ) is pulled out from the hollow laminate ( 20 ) and a region of the hollow laminate ( 20 ), from the second core ( 15 ) was pulled out, is pressed into a flange-shaped portion ( 26 ). A pressurization bag ( 30 ) is inserted into the hollow resin core ( 10 ) and it is then disposed within a shaping mold ( 40 ). Heat is applied while at the same time applying pressure to the inside of the pressurization bag ( 30 ) in the hollow laminate ( 20 ) disposed within the shaping mold, whereby the resin and the reinforced fibers are combined, inclusive of the flange-shaped portion ( 26 ).
