Система формирования изображения содержит источник излучения, который вращается вокруг зоны исследования вокруг оси z и испускает излучение, которое проходит через зону исследования, матрицу детекторов, расположенную поперек зоны исследования, опору для позиционирования пациента в зоне исследования с учетом цикла движения. Матрица детекторов включает в себя множество рядов детекторов вдоль направления оси z, обеспечивая зону охвата по оси z так, что весь объем изучаемой ткани, находящейся в движении, сканируется в течение одного оборота источника, при этом сканирование осуществляется в течение одного оборота и охватывает полный цикл движения изучаемой ткани, при этом реконструктор реконструирует четырехмерный набор данных контрастного усиления на основе сканирования. 2 н. и 7 з.п. ф-лы, 4 ил. Fiber reinforced composite structures having curved stepped surfaces are fabricated by laying up plies of fiber reinforced material over a tool having a stepped tool feature. The plies are rotated about a fixed axis as they are laid up to substantially form a fixed axis rosette pattern. The plies are angularly oriented such that at least certain of the plies have fiber orientations other than 0, +45, −45 and 90 degrees. Potential bridging of the fibers over the stepped tool features is reduced or eliminated by cutting slits in the plies in the area of the stepped features, so that the plies can be fully compacted.

A method for producing feedthroughs in a substrate having a front and back surface, wherein the substrate either has a hole or absorbs radiation at a given wavelength. The method includes selecting and intimately bonding a sheet to the back surface of the substrate with an adhesive which is absorptive at the given wavelength. If the substrate has a hole, an exposed area of the sheet is illuminated with laser radiation at the given wavelength and at a power level sufficient to ablate a portion of the sheet behind the exposed area, thereby creating the feedthrough in the substrate. If the substrate has no hole, an area on the front surface of the substrate is illuminated with laser radiation at the given wavelength and at a power level sufficient to ablate a portion of the substrate and a portion of the sheet behind the area, thereby creating the feedthrough in the substrate. The sheet can then be removed from the substrate. Alternatively, if the sheet is conductive, the sheet can remain bonded to the substrate and can serve as a ground plane for the substrate. If the sheet is an insulator, the feedthrough is an insulated feedthrough and if the sheet is conductive, the feedthrough is a conductive feedthrough. This procedure can be extended to produce a two conductor feedthrough.

The score line through the outer structure defines a larger opening than the score line through the inner structure, such that a marginal region of the outer structure extends beyond the edge of the opening portion of the inner structure. A pressure-sensitive adhesive is used to re-adhere the marginal region to an underlying surface of the inner structure adjacent the opening through the laminate.
