A spring-biased piston within the bistable assembly presses one arm of a rotatable bell-crank against the tip of the bracket to hold the door firmly closed against the door jamb. Opening the door against the urging of the spring-biased piston rotates the bell crank to a standby position in which it is held stably by the spring-biased piston. In a preferred embodiment, a solenoid within the housing of the bistable assembly rotates the bell crank from engaged position to standby position in response to an external signal, thereby moving the door away from the door jamb automatically.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Anschlagdämpfer mit einem Dämpferkörper, der einen Zylinder aufweist, wobei in einem Aufnahmeraum des Zylinders ein Kolben verstellbar geführt ist, wobei der Zylinder eine Gleitfläche aufweist, an der der Kolben mit einem Dichtelement anliegt, wobei die Verstellung des Kolbens durch den im Aufnahmeraum gebildeten Luftdruck eine auf den Kolben wirkende Bremskraft ausübbar ist, wobei der Aufnahmeraum zum Abbau des Luftdruckes über eine luftdichtende Verbindung mit der Umgebung in Verbindung steht. DOLLAR A Zur Verbesserung der Bremswirkung des Gleitelementes kann es vorgesehen sein, dass das Dichtelement des Kolbens und die Gleitfläche des Zylinders sich zumindest bereichsweise über eine definierte Reibflächengeometrie berühren, wobei die Rauhtiefe der Gleitfläche Ra < 1 mum und die Rauhtiefe der zugewandten Fläche des Dichtelementes zumindest bereichsweise 4,5 mum ist.

The movable element is temporarily adhered to the outer surface of the base when it is driven into contact therewith by the force of the seat being pivotally raised to its upright position. The adherence of the movable member to the base is adapted to be automatically released after a brief time delay whereby it snaps back to its original normal position, thereby impacting against the seat and causing the seat to pivot a sufficient distance from its generally upright position whereby the force of gravity completes the return of the seat to its horizontal disposition.
