PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the ice and snow transporting apparatus in an artificial snow falling system from being clogged and to prevent the ice and snow supply thereof from lowering. SOLUTION: A ball 8 is provided in the hopper 12 of a rotary feeder 7. The ball 8 has a diameter smaller than the outlet diameter of the hopper 12 and larger than the interval of blades 11 constituting the rotary feeder 7. In the hopper 12, the ball 8 moves as the blades 11 turn and touches the inner wall of the hopper 12 to remove ice and snow adhering to the inner wall thus preventing clogging with ice and snow 60. ARTIFICIAL SNOWFALL DEVICE AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch a spreading device without providing an ice storage and without stopping the operation of an ice maker. SOLUTION: Ice snow 60 that is made by an ice maker 2 is supplied to conveyors 6 and 7. The ice snow 60 is supplied to a feeder 8 by the conveyors 6 and 7. A fixed amount of ice snow 60 is supplied form the feeder 8 to an ice snow transport pipe 3 being laid at snow play facilities. A spreading device 4 for switching a snow ice spreading region is arranged in the middle of the ice snow transport pipe 3. When switching the spreading device 4, the amount of transport of the conveyors 6 and 7 is controlled by a means for controlling the amount of transport, and the ice snow 60 is stored in the conveyors 6 and 7, thus the need for providing an ice storage is eliminated, and the spreading device can be switched without stopping the operation of the ice maker. ICE AND SNOW TRANSPORTING/SPRAYING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance efficiency of ice and snow supply to an ice and snow spraying apparatus. SOLUTION: The movable hose 81 of a piping branch unit 11 is turned, with the inlet end 81a thereof as a fulcrum, by means of a cylinder mechanism 87 for converting direction and the outlet end 81b is abutted against the pipe end of any one of first through third branch pipes 82-84. The movable hose 81 is then moved to the abutting branch pipe side by means of a mounting/ demounting cylinder mechanism in order to eliminate the gap between both pipes.
