PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the production efficiency by reducing the kinds of molds of intermediate electrode poles used for the connection of cells, and by reducing the cost of equipment and managing cost by reducing the kinds of the electrode poles, and by reducing the number of combination of selection at the process of arranging and welding the intermediate electrode poles on a strap. SOLUTION: For the lead battery, each group of electrodes is housed in respective cell compartments 6a-6f of monoblock containers 4, inside of which is separated two by two matrix by separation walls 5, and intermediate electrode poles 1, 1a having different polarity from each other, housed in adjacent cells respectively, are welded on the separation wall 5.
