The invention discloses a preparation method of an S/MoS2-x/MXene composite material, which comprises the following steps: S1, in an H2/Ar mixed atmosphere, carrying out heat treatment on the MoS2/MXene composite material at 600-700 DEG C to obtain the MoS2-x/MXene composite material; wherein 0 < x < 2; and S2, uniformly mixing the MoS2-x/MXene composite material with S, and carrying out heat treatment in a protective atmosphere under a sealing condition to obtain the S/MoS2-x/MXene composite material. The invention also discloses the S/MoS2-x/MXene composite material prepared by the method, and a lithium-sulfur battery. The S/MoS2-x/MXene composite material provided by the invention is used as a positive electrode material of a lithium-sulfur battery, and shows excellent cycle performance and rate capability.
