The present invention relates to a method of preparing a solid electrolyte (aluminum (Al) doped LLZO) which is Al doped lithium lanthanum zirconium oxide (LLZO). The method includes the following (a), (b), (c), (d), and (e) steps. In step (a), a mixture is prepared by mixing a metal salt solution containing a lithium salt, a lanthanum salt, a zirconium salt, and an aluminum salt, a chelating agent having a plurality of carboxyl groups, and a hydrocarbon compound having a plurality of hydroxy groups. In step (b), the mixture is agitated, heated, and reacted, thereby preparing polymer compound in a gel state. In step (c), the polymer composite is dried and pulverized to prepare a polymer composite powder. In step (d), the polymer composite powder is primarily calcinated. In step (e), the result in step (d) is calcinated.
