The present invention relates to a mixed (electron + ion) oxygen and hydrogen separation membrane using a multiple membrane with an overall thickness below several hundred (or several dozens) μm, i.e. a separation membrane with a double or multiple structure for protecting a mixed conductor layer including a mixed conductive oxide which has good separation membrane properties due to use of a doped oxide electrolyte that is thermochemically stable, but is relatively unstable, and to a manufacturing method thereof.
