The present inventors discovered miR-8, a conserved miRNA for regulating the body of a fruit fly by targeting u-shaped material (USH) in the fat cells of Drosophila. It was also confirmed that a target gene of miR-200, a human homologous gene of Drosophila miR-8 miRNA, is FOG2.
