The present invention relates to a moisture adsorbing composition, which is applicable to a dehumidifier and a moisture adsorbing freezer, and a method for manufacturing the same and, more specifically, to a mesoporous silica type adsorbing composition, which is transformed to be suitable for a dehumidifier and a moisture adsorbing freezer by controlling the pore size of mesoporous silica, and to a method for manufacturing the same. The mesoporous silica moisture adsorbing composition of a two-dimensional hexagonal structure, surface-modified by silane, according to the present invention is expected to have an efficiency in which the maximum moisture adsorbing amount is more than or equal to 0.55 g-water/g-sorbent within a driving pressure range of P/Po = 0.1 to 0.3.
