The present invention relates to a food composition and a health functional food, having natural plant-derived extracts having antioxidative activity and anti-obesity activity as effective components and, more specifically, to an antioxidative functional food composition and a health function food, containing one or more types of extracts selected from the group consisting of Corylopsis coreana Uyeki, dogtooth violet, Angelica utilis Makino, reed, lotus, balsam apple, purslane, fig, citron, and cornus fruit. The extracts of the present invention have excellent removal activity for DPPH radical, nitrite, and ABTS positive ion, and can increase activities for antioxidative enzymes involved in antioxidation within a cell, such as superoxide-dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), ascorbate peroxidase (APX), and peroxidase (POD). Therefore, a composition having the extracts as effective components can be usefully used as a functional food composition capable of exhibiting an antioxidative effect.
