... 본 발명은 약물을 함유하는 총알이 외부 힘에 의해 베이스로부터 분리되어 피부에 삽입되는 약물 전달용 마이크로 총알에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 마이크로 총알은 베이스로부터 총알만이 피부 내부에 삽입될 수 있어 원하는 양의 약물을 손실 없이 정량 투여할 수 있다. 또한, 본 발명의 마이크로 총알은 전달하는 힘의 크기에 따라 총알의 투여 깊이를 제어할 수 있다. 본 발명은 기존의 경피 전달 시스템이 오랜 투여 시간을 필요로 하는것에 반해 수초내의 빠른 시간내에 원하는 양의 약물을 피부층에 전달 할수 있는 방식이다. 본 발명의 마이크로 총알은 총알 구조 내에 약물을 삽입할 수 있어 총알의 크기, 총알의 생분해 속도 등에 따라 약물의 방출 속도 및 양을 피부내에서 제어할 수 있다. 본 발명의 마이크로 총알은 베이스에 총알이 붙어 있고 외부 힘에 의해 총알이 피부 침투와 동시에 분리되는 방식이기 때문에 1) 수백개 혹은 수천개의 총알을 한 번의 외부힘에 의해 전달이 가능하고 2) 따라서 수 mg부터 수십 mg 이상의 약물의 경피 정량 전달이 가능하다. 또한, 본 발명은 총알이 베이스에 붙어 있어 필름 형태의 베이스와 함께 다루기 때문에 다루기 쉽고, 필름형태로 존재하여 기존 패치 제형과 연결하기 쉬우며 총알 투여를 위해 실린더와 같은 복잡한 기기가 필요하지 않고 베이스를 총알과 분리시키기 위한 힘만 가하면 되므로 힘 전달 시스템이 간단하다.
