The present invention relates to a multicage-type apparatus for filtering ballast water in which a plurality of filtering units are packetized and connected inside a body from which ballast water is introduced or discharged, and more specifically, the filtering unit comprises a filter for filtering ballast water that flows inside the body, and an automatic cleaning portion for reverse-washing foreign substances that adhere to the filter, wherein the automatic cleaning portion comprises a discharge portion having a discharge pipe that serves as a discharge passage for the foreign substance that is removed from the filter, wherein the discharge pipe is installed inside the body so as to be attachable/detachable, thereby reducing time and cost for manufacturing the filtering apparatus by allowing easy coating work that prevents corrosion inside the body.
