A method for manufacturing a mesh fabric according to the present invention comprises the processes of: (i) inserting a covering yarn which covers alkaline lyotropic yarn, which is an effect yarn, and a low melting point yarn, which is a core yarn, between warps and wefts while being separated to weave a fabric; and (ii) scouring the woven fabric with an alkaline aqueous solution of 80 to 100°C during 0.5 to 2 hours, and then heat treating the scoured fabric at 100 to 180°C during 0.5 to 2 hours. The alkaline lyotropic yarn is a polyester yarn copolymerized with 40 to 50 wt% of alkaline lyotropic ingredients. The low melting point yarn is a core-sheath composite fiber, wherein the core ingredient comprises nylon ingredients and the sheath ingredient comprises low melting point ingredients relatively lower than those of the core ingredient.
