The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a lock nut. After a lock nut is mounted on a fixing jig, an upper surface of the lock nut mounted on the fixing jig is pressed; thus a fixing groove formed on a lower surface of the lock nut. More specifically, a mounting groove on which the lock nut is mounted is formed on an upper surface, and a plurality of steel balls are inserted and mounted at fixed intervals onto a bottom surface in a circumferential direction. When the lock nut is pressed in an upper part, a lower end of the lock nut has the fixing groove of the shape of the steel ball coming in contact. According to the present invention, the method of manufacturing the lock nut is able to form the fixing groove of an accurate shape by stably supporting the lock nut using the fixing jig, and is able to easily replace the fixing jig when the fixing jig is damaged.
