The present invention relates to a biodegradable polymeric microsphere-containing sustained-release injection containing escitalopram as an active ingredient and to a method for preparing the same. An escitalopram microsphere is in a state in which a liquid drug and a polymer are phase-separated inside a microsphere, and thus has problems of a low encapsulating rate, a cracking phenomenon due to weak strength, and initial over-release. To solve the problems, a hydrophobic solidifying agent for homogenizing heterogeneous phases is added, thereby making it possible to maximize the amount of escitalopram encapsulated and the encapsulating efficiency, overcome breakage of microspheres in high loading conditions, and appropriately control the initial release inhibition and release delay of microspheres.
