Disclosed is an organic electroluminescent device having a charge generation layer which facilitates hole injection, is excellent in electron blocking properties, and has excellent driving voltage, efficiency and lifetime as well as fast hole mobility. The organic electroluminescent device comprises: a first electrode; a second electrode; and an organic material layer which is formed between the first electrode and the second electrode, and the organic material layer comprises a hole injection layer which includes a compound represented by chemical formula 1, a charge generation layer which includes a compound represented by chemical formula 2, and a hole transport layer which includes a compound represented by chemical formula 3.
