Provided is a method for manufacturing briquette which is charged and quickly heated in a dome unit of a melting gasifier in a molten iron manufacturing apparatus including the melting gasifier in which reduced iron is charged, and a reducing furnace which is connected to the melting gasifier and which provides the reduced iron. The method for manufacturing briquette comprises the steps of: i) providing powdered coal; ii) firing a carbon source; iii) providing a mixture of the powdered coal and the fired carbon source; and iv) molding the mixture so as to provide a briquette. In the step of providing the mixture, the amount of the carbon source among the mixture is larger than 0 and 30wt% or less of the mixture.

Provided are an apparatus and method for manufacturing molten iron. According to the present invention, the apparatus for manufacturing molten iron comprises: a multistage fluidized bed furnace for reducing iron ore powders to obtain reduced iron powders; a high-temperature compacting unit for compressing the reduced iron powders to prepare a high-temperature compacted iron; at least one crusher for crushing the high-temperature compacted iron to have uniform particle size; a first conveying unit for conveying the crushed high-temperature compacted iron; and a melting furnace for melting the conveyed high-temperature compacted iron by combusting fine iron ores or lump coals, and for supplying a reduction gas produced in the furnace to the fluidized reduction furnace. Provided is a method for manufacturing a coal briquette, which is inserted and rapidly heated in a dome part of a melting gasifying furnace of an ingot iron manufacturing apparatus, the apparatus comprising: the melting gasifying furnace, into which reduced iron is inserted; and a reduction furnace for supplying reduced iron. The method for manufacturing a coal briquette comprises the steps of: providing a mixture of raw coal and a binder; coating a heat-absorbing material on surfaces of a pair of molding rolls employed to mold the mixture; and inserting the mixture between the pair of molding rolls, and compression-molding the mixture by the pair of molding rolls to provide a coal briquette coated with the heat-absorbing material.
