A method for drilling and completing a well in a formation , comprising:pumping a drilling fluid through a motor system disposed in a casing, thereby rotating an earth removal member to drill the well;actuating a fluid divert system to open a passageway for supplying cement into the well; andpumping cement through the passageway and out of an end of the casing into the well.2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the passageway is formed by a hollow shaft disposed through the motor system claim 1 , wherein the hollow shaft is in fluid communication with one or more nozzles of the earth removal member.3. The method of claim 1 , further comprising pumping the drilling fluid from the surface to the fluid divert system via a tubular string claim 1 , and diverting the drilling fluid through one or more ports of the fluid divert system to the motor system.4. Data on the position of the bit is transmitted to a processor which determines the direction of drilling and selectively transmits commands to the steering assembly to change the bend angle and direction of the drilling of the bit.

In another aspect, methods and apparatus for directionally drilling a casing into the formation are disclosed. Methods and apparatus for measuring the trajectory of a wellbore while directionally drilling a casing into the formation are also described.

Upon activation of the circulating sub the electric motor drives the valve sleeve over the valve plug, causing a flow of drilling fluid to exit the angled nozzles. Upon deactivation of the circulating sub, the electric motor removes the valve sleeve from the valve plug, allowing the flow of drilling fluid to once again flow to the drill bit. Because the electric motor is reversible, the circulating sub can be repeatedly activated and deactivated.

The drilling fluid and cuttings (returns) flow to the surface via an annulus formed between an outer surface of the tubular string and an inner surface of the wellbore. The method further includes after drilling at least a portion of the wellbore: halting drilling; sending a wireless instruction signal from the surface to a downhole portion of the drill string by articulating the drill string, acoustic signal, or mud pulse, thereby opening the port; and injecting drilling fluid through the drill string and into the annulus via the open port.
