In one embodiment, a particular number of best entities are found in a database with a spatial index that satisfy both spatial criteria and entity filtering criteria. For each of a set of targets in the spatial index whose bounding box meets the spatial criteria, a spatial score is calculated. If the spatial score is less than a minimum spatial score in a current map of best entities and the current map is full, the target is excluded from further consideration. If the spatial score is not less than the minimum spatial score, when the target is an entity that meets the entity filtering criteria, the current map is updated to store the entity and the spatial score for the entity. When each of the targets in the spatial index has been subject to test or excluded from consideration, the current map is returned as a final result. 1. System, method and computer program product for collaborative engineering using component and file oriented tools

Conventional file-based engineering design data for an engineering model are represented by a plurality of components. The plurality of components are kept in stores, which reside on servers. Each store contains the components that correspond to the elements of one design file. The stores also maintain a history of changes made to the components. A plurality of client computers are bidirectionally connected to the servers. Each client computer may obtain the current version of the components and may send locally edited versions of the components back to the servers to replace the current versions in the stores. At the client computer, the user interacts with the components using conventional file-based software. Before the locally edited versions of the components are committed to the servers to replace the current versions, a synchronization and merging process occurs whereby the latest version of the components are downloaded to the client computer and are compared to the locally edited version of the components to detect resolvable (compatible) and unresolvable (incompatible) conflicts. The commit process is performed only if no unresolvable conflicts exist between the two versions of the components. To facilitate translation between file-based data and components, a schema is written to “wrap” each of the engineering file formats. Each schema is a set of classes that capture all of the information in the file-based data.

Cloud-based workspace databases are maintained in a cloud-based blob storage container of a storage account of a cloud storage system. Each cloud-based blob storage container may hold multiple cloud-based workspace databases, including multiple versions of the same database. To use a cloud-based workspace database, a backend module of an application may create an in-memory cloud container object that represents a connection to the cloud-based blob storage container. It may be attached to an in-memory object configured to manage a local cache of blocks of workspace databases. Access to the cloud-based blob storage container may be managed by access tokens provided by a container authority. Modifications to existing workspace databases or addition of new workspace databases may be performed using a workspace editor.

The present invention relates to multifunctional chemosensors that can measure the concentration, enantiomeric excess (ee), and absolute configuration of chiral compounds. The chemosensors described herein may contain a backbone moiety that is bonded to a fluorescent moiety and a moiety for bonding a chiral compound. Backbone moieties may include aromatic groups, for example, naphthyl. The chemosensors described herein are useful for measuring concentration, enantiomeric excess, and absolute configuration of organic molecules in areas such as high throughput screening.

An inter-process messaging security management may be provided. A message comprising an operation to be performed may be sent from a process operating in a process chamber to a second process operating in another chamber. Before the message is allowed to be delivered, the validity of the operation contained in the message may be verified and a security policy may be examined to determine whether the message is permitted to be sent from the first process to the second process. If the security policy permits the second process to execute the operation requested by the first process, the message may be delivered to the second process. If the operation is not permitted, the message may not be delivered and an error message may be returned to the first process.
