The arrangement is intended for producing electrical energy by a water wheel driving a generator and itself driven by surf waves. The water wheel is arranged in a region of deeper water near the shore. A plate inclined towards the shore is positioned below the wheel at a short distance above the sea-bed. The wheel is rotated by the surf breakers generated by the plate which, on return, pass below the wheel so that they do not affect its rotation. The plate may consist of two overlapping section.

The kinetic of the waves is converted into potential energy and then into electrical energy. The water collected above the average water level is used to drive a turbine, used as the prime-mover of a generator. A barrier is provided with holes at different levels. The holes face the flowing waves and are made with shutters. There is a Kaplan turbine installed below the level of the holes. The turbine is linked to a generator via a common shaft.

An arrangement is used for generating electrical energy. It consists of a generator driven by water wheel. The latter is placed in water to utilise waves on sea coast for water wheel driving. The axis of the drum shaped water wheel is at right angles to the incoming waves. The length of this water wheel is equal to the projection of the distance between two waves in axis direction. This water wheel is placed at such waves in axis direction. This water wheel is placed at such a level that the plates are loaded basically by the incoming sea waves.
