The present invention relates to a metal filter for purifying the exhaust gas from a ship, and a preparation method thereof. The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a metal filter for purifying the exhaust gas from a ship, capable of reducing nitrogen oxide by 85% or more at 250-300° C.; and a preparation method thereof. A metal filter for purifying an exhaust gas from a ship , suitable for use in removing nitrogen oxide from the exhaust gas , the metal filter comprising a metal substrate having irregularities and a low-temperature active catalyst applied onto the metal substrate and comprising Ti-PILC (Pillared Clay) as a powder support and vanadium (V) , tungsten (W) and alumina sol supported thereon.2. The formed skin can also be provided with a plurality of protective zones having vent holes through the formed skin to regulate the degree of energy absorption in the respective zones. In this manner, a single continuous protective foam layer can be provided having multiple protective zones having distinct energy absorption characteristics instead of providing discrete protective layers that must be joined or meet at a seam. According to the invention, by providing such a continuous protective layer with no such seams, a known failure mode in protective equipment is eliminated.

The present invention relates to a hetero-transglycosylase protein having cellulose:xyloglucan endotransglucosylase (CXE) activity in addition to mixed-linkage beta-glucan:xyloglucan endotransglucosylase (MXE) activity. The protein may comprise the amino acid sequence of any one of SEQ ID NOs: 2, 6 and 8 or a functional fragment thereof; or an amino acid sequence having at least 60% sequence identity to any one of SEQ ID NO: 2, 6 and 8, or to SEQ ID NO: 2 from amino acid 22 to 280, to SEQ ID NO: 6 from amino acid 26 to 283, or to SEQ ID NO: 8 from amino acid 29 to 287. A previously isolated hepatitis B virus (HBV) integration in a 147 bp cellular DNA fragment linked to hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) was used as a probe to clone the corresponding complementary DNA from a human liver cDNA library. Nucleotide sequence analysis revealed that the overall structure of the cellular gene, which has been named hap, is similar to that of the DNA-binding hormone receptors. Six out of seven hepatoma and hepatoma-derived cell-lines express a 2.5 kb hap mRNA species which is undetectable in normal adult and fetal livers, but present in all non-hepatic tissues analyzed. Low stringency hybridization experiments revealed the existence of hap related genes in the human genome. The cloned DNA sequence is useful in the preparation of pure hap protein and as a probe in the detection and isolation of complementary DNA and RNA sequences. The hap protein is a retinoic acid (RA) receptor identified as RAR-β. The RAR-β gene is transcriptionally up-regulated by retinoic acid (RA) and its promoter region may contain a RARE (retinoic acid responsive element).
