The roofing material of claim 1 , wherein the roofing material is an asphalt shingle.3. The roofing material of claim 1 , wherein the roofing material is roll roofing.4. The roofing material of claim 1 , wherein the mat comprises one or more of fiberglass claim 1 , polyester claim 1 , nylon claim 1 , cotton claim 1 , cellulosic fibers or materials claim 1 , polyethylene claim 1 , polypropylene claim 1 , co-polymers claim 1 , melamine claim 1 , phenolic claim 1 , acrylics claim 1 , polycarbonate claim 1 , carbon fiber claim 1 , clay claim 1 , metallic in woven claim 1 , non-woven claim 1 , strands or sheets claim 1 , styrene compounds claim 1 , rubber claim 1 , silk claim 1 , leather claim 1 , and wool in a woven claim 1 , non-woven claim 1 , or solid form.5. The roofing material of claim 1 , wherein the wt./100 sq. ft. of the asphalt is less than 15.00 lbs.6. The roofing material of claim 5 , wherein the wt./100 sq. ft. of the asphalt is 9.00 lbs. or less.7. The roofing material of claim 1 , wherein the exposed surface covering material comprises one or more of minerals claim 1 , plastic particles or film claim 1 , metal particles or film claim 1 , cement particles claim 1 , clay particles claim 1 , paints claim 1 , coatings claim 1 , glass claim 1 , ceramics claim 1 , wood claim 1 , wood fiber claim 1 , and composite materials ...
